The family-owned company has been making paper in Massachusetts since 1946. Over the last decade, Seaman Paper has grown domestic and global manufacturing operations to meet the needs of their customers worldwide. The company's paper-based, sustainable solutions help customers protect what is most important to them. We are seeking an enthusiastic, career-minded, and self-motivated individual to join our Consumer Products Division as an Assistant Account Manager. This role is responsible for supporting customer relationships, managing multiple retail accounts, and coordinating products, programs, and processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. A strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and grow will thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Issue Sales Orders, Work Orders, and Purchase Orders as needed. Manage and track shipping documentation from shipment through invoicing. Monitor production and shipping timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule. Maintain an in-depth understanding of products, customer requirements, and account-specific processes, including customer portals. Actively participate in weekly vendor meetings, providing updates and information on operational issues. Develop collaborative working relationships with Sales, Manufacturing & Production, Accounting, IT, and Art/Design teams. Manage and coordinate multiple projects while meeting established deadlines. Proactively identify and resolve issues to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in customer service, account management, or B2B sales preferred. Experience in the paper or manufacturing industry is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new software and systems. Comfortable working with basic mathematics and numerical information. Ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to "wear different hats" and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Creative and visually minded, with an interest in retail trends, product design, and consumer products. NetSuite experience preferred. Accounting or financial experience is a plus. Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Work Authorization:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
