Director of Program Services PURPOSE The purpose of the Crisis Advocacy Supervisor position is to ensure the provision of direct services to clients in a manner consistent with a crisis center mission.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. PROGRAM COORDINATION
Coordinates, refines and evaluates the advocacy and outreach services provided to clients. 2.

Ensures and provides direct crisis intervention for victims of sexual and domestic violence. 3.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION
Ensures the provision of advocacy services to clients through hiring and retention of qualified staff. 4.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Fosters community relationships that strengthen the organization's ability to serve victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence. 5.
LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION
Ensures effective leadership of advocacy through the hiring and retention of qualified staff.
QUALIFICATIONS BA
degree in criminal justice, social work or related field, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred Minimum of five years of experience working with victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, including social justice counseling, trauma and addictions and profiling resources to survivors Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in the field Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with social justice issues, particularly battering, and violence against women and children
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive understanding of the dynamics and impact of sexual and domestic violence Demonstrated ability to collaborate Demonstrated ability to effectively manage people and teams Experience in planning, goal setting, evaluation and problem solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Self-motivated and organized, able to manage multiple tasks Customer service oriented Proficiency in Microsoft Office application
DIRECT REPORTS
Reporting to the Crisis Advocacy Supervisor is the position of Community Advocate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM
COORDINATION
: Coordinates, refines, and evaluates the advocacy and outreach services provided to clients Ensures the delivery of Advocacy program services within the organization Conducts ongoing evaluation of Advocacy program, inviting feedback from the team and staff, seeking opportunities to acknowledge successes and make improvements or future delivery of service Collaborates with Integrated Advocacy Supervisor and On-Call Advocacy Supervisor to ensure timely and effective communication and service delivery between advocacy staff Establishes and adheres to effective policies for all components of the department
ADVOCACY
Ensures and provides direct crisis intervention and trauma- based case management for victims of sexual and domestic violence. Ensures immediate support to clients in-person, on the crisis hotline, and at hospitals and emergency departments Provides victims with information about their rights and options to promote informed decision making Provides information, resources, and referrals for continuum of care Advocates for clients and serves as a liaison between client(s) and community partners Provides information regarding protection orders and the criminal justice process
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Fosters collaborative relationships that strengthen the organization's ability to service victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence and human trafficking. Provides public education, consultation and training with other agencies regarding sexual and domestic violence Facilitates County Task Force multi-disciplinary committees as they relate to victims of personal crimes Represents Sollera at appropriate events, and on committees, boards and task forces Builds and maintains working relationships with collaborating partners
MANAGEMENT

Hires qualified clinical staff to meet the departments needs and standards Orients and trains staff according to organizational/department processes, ensuring that all team members understand their relationship to the whole Fosters teamwork Maintains effective, ongoing communication with staff regarding client needs and concerns Provides supportive coaching on a regular basis to promote individual and team success Identifies opportunities for skill development and job enhancement Seeks opportunities to build employee morale and individual motivation Participates in consultation and training of staff regarding sexual and domestic violence Monitors danger assessments, tracking and reporting result

PHYSICAL/ENVIORMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
This work is primarily sedentary, requiring communicating clearly, seeing, hearing, talking, concentrating, reading and operating office equipment such as a computer, calculator, copier and scanner. Work is primarily in a climate-controlled area with office equipment level of noise. Some travel is required, including occasional out-of-town and out-of-state travel for meetings and trainings.
EVALUATION
The performance of the Crisis Advocacy Supervisor will be evaluated annually by the Director of Program Services according to pre-determined objectives and policies.
