The Exchange Officer acts as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the full lifecycle of a 1031 exchange transaction. This role is heavily focused on: Client communication Transaction coordination Deadline management Fund transfer coordination Legal/compliance documentation Multi-party communication
Responsibilities:
Coordinate all phases of 1031 exchange transactions Serve as primary client contact throughout exchanges Manage transaction timelines and IRS deadlines Coordinate with: Closing agents Attorneys Brokers Title companies Clients Handle escrow/fund transfer coordination Review and organize documentation Resolve transaction issues and maintain communication flow Ensure smooth closing process from initiation through completion
Requirements:
Experience:
1-2+ years of experience preferred in: Banking Financial services Real estate operations Escrow/title Transaction coordination Client-facing operations Skills /
Soft Skills:
Strong customer service mentality Patient and professional communicator Highly organized Detail-oriented Comfortable in fast-paced environments Able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously Strong follow-through and responsiveness
