This role requires becoming well-versed in industry information, such as FDA approvals, client activities, and industry trends, and using that knowledge to guide clients through their research and purchasing decisions with confidence. Candidates should communicate with clients empathetically, genuinely care about their research and patient care, and feel comfortable owning a territory and book of business. This position offers long-term growth opportunities and requires social awareness, emotional intelligence, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Develop relationships and engage in scientific exchange with clients, serving as a trusted resource for their research needs. Act as a scientific liaison to determine project feasibility and provide support during client interactions. Respond to client inquiries, offering comprehensive clinical and scientific information. Collaborate with internal teams to provide clients with valuable information about CGT Global products. Contribute to the planning of technical content for publications and presentations. Draft and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to support client success. Identify and engage potential new clients, using scientific credibility to open the door to new conversations. Meet with current and potential clients to identify needs and present CGT Global products and services. Create, edit, and review quotations for clients, and review pending orders to ensure accuracy and a positive customer experience. Guide clients from initial qualification through quoting, negotiation, and agreement, keeping their research goals at the center of every conversation. Facilitate and maintain client relationships through multiple avenues such as phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage client communication, activities, and account details. Stay informed about competitors, industry activities, and market trends to better serve clients. Provide logistical support and follow-up to ensure a positive client experience and long-term partnership. Other duties as assigned.
Essential for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Biological, Social, Environmental, or Physical Science; or a bachelor's degree in another field with supplemental coursework in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or cell biology. Demonstrated expertise in communicating scientific information to diverse audiences Openness to building client relationships and business acumen alongside scientific expertise Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment Ability to travel occasionally Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, client-first approach Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Adaptability to evolving conditions Strong presentation skills Desirable for the role: High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Strong presentation and negotiation skills Excellent interpersonal skills Previous experience in business development, account management, or sales Experience working in a hospital environment R D and/or Clinical study execution experience Knowledge of Biotech and Pharmaceutical customer segments Experience with CRM, quoting, and client engagement strategies (Salesforce preferred)
