Full-Time | On-Site | 35 Hour Week M-F, 9 to 5 | Hourly Base Pay + Commission & Bonus Opportunities | NYS P&C Licensed Only Hometown Insurance Agency is seeking an experienced, licensed Personal Lines Account Representative (CSR) to join our team in Bohemia, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented insurance professional who enjoys working directly with clients and colleagues while managing accounts, new business, and identifying opportunities to grow and retain accounts. This is primarily a service-oriented role with incentives for a sales-minded individual. What You'll Do Work collaboratively with a team of insurance agents and account professionals to provide accurate, high-level, responsive, and professional customer service Serve as a trusted point of contact for assigned personal lines clients Manage personal lines accounts from new business processing through renewals, ensuring all workflow steps strictly comply with agency SOPs Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, reinstatements, riders, and binding requests in a timely manner with high precision to meet carrier guidelines and agency turnaround standards. Market, remarket, and submit new and renewal business to direct and wholesale markets following established agency procedures Maintain complete, accurate, and timely client and policy documentation in our agency management system to sustain compliance Identify opportunities for account retention, cross-selling, addressing coverage gaps, and referrals Build and maintain strong client and carrier relationships Take ownership of client service issues and work collaboratively to bring them to timely resolution following established escalation procedures Stay current with carrier requirements, insurance products, technology, and industry knowledge, including required agency and carrier training Perform all account servicing, processing, marketing, documentation, and workflow responsibilities in accordance with established agency SOPs, service standards, carrier requirements, and applicable insurance laws and regulations
Compensation & Earning Potential Base Pay:
$25
  • 37 per hour , based on experience and qualifications Additional commission opportunities on qualifying new personal lines business First-term commissions ranging from 5% to 40% , depending on how the business is sourced and written Annual New Business Goal Bonus
  • if reached: $1,000 to $5,000 Potential Retention Bonuses of up to $2,000 annually based on individual and agency results Opportunity to increase total compensation through production and performance What We're Looking For Active New York State Property & Casualty Broker License
  • required 2+ years of personal lines insurance experience preferred, ideally within an independent agency environment Sound knowledge of personal lines coverages, policy terms, and underwriting guidelines Strong customer service, time management and communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to assess client needs and explain insurance coverage appropriately Self-directed and accountable, while also working effectively as part of a team Proficiency with agency management systems, carrier portals, Microsoft Office, and standard office technology Professional, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent client service Why Join Hometown Insurance?
