• first-year OTE $80,000 - $135,000 About CORE Group CORE Group NA Inc. delivers highly managed trade services for construction and facilities management to multi-unit corporate clients — national and regional fast casual, restaurant, retail and hospitality brands with locations across the Northeast and beyond. We are evolving from a traditional general contractor into a solutions platform: a service request or project concept goes in one end and comes out the other as a finished product, delivered in the most timely, frictionless, cost-effective and well-communicated way possible. What separates us is not what we do — there is no shortage of contractors who can execute a buildout. It is how we do it: timely proposals, real schedules, honest and preemptive communication, accurate billing, and work guaranteed for a full year with a no-nonsense 48-hour back-to-site policy. Our promise to clients is two words: Always There.
Our attributes are three:
Assertive. Diligent. Accountable. Why this position exists Our national and commercial chain accounts are currently held at the principal level and serviced project by project. That caps growth, concentrates relationship risk in one person, and means nobody's full-time job is asking where else can we grow inside this account, and is this client actually happy?
This role changes three things:
Every national account gets a named owner. One person the client knows, who picks up the phone and owns the outcome. Someone owns growth inside the accounts we already have. Our highest-return work is not chasing new logos — it is finding the next territory, site type, department or capital program inside clients who already trust us. Someone owns the recovery when a job goes sideways. Jobs go bad; that is construction. Whether we keep the account depends on whether one accountable person steps in and turns it around. This is a relationship management role with a revenue number attached — not a sales role with relationships attached. Scope — one book, not two CORE runs two distinct books of business. This position owns one of them: the national and regional brands — fast casual, restaurant, retail and hospitality — across both renovation projects and ongoing facilities support. Our New York City local business — residential renovations and boutique single-site clients — is a separate seat with a separate owner. This role will not be splitting attention between them. The stated goal for this book: be omnipresent in fast casual renovations and facilities across the Northeast. When a Director of Construction at a growing brand thinks about this region, we want CORE to be the first name that comes to mind. Within the first 45 days the National Account Manager is personally introduced by the Principal to every existing national client. From that point those accounts are theirs to manage, protect and grow. Core responsibilities Account management. Serve as named relationship owner, maintaining contact cadence and building multi-level client relationships. Escalation and recovery. Take personal ownership of emergency work, schedule failures, or billing disputes. Business development. Build and work target multi-unit brand accounts in the Northeast corridor. Marketing and outreach execution. Run quarterly outreach programs, digital connection-building (1 LinkedIn post/week), and conference networking. Digital presence. One LinkedIn post per week aligned to the campaign calendar, plus ongoing connection-building within the target audience. CRM management. All accounts, leads and prospects accurate and correctly staged, each carrying a dated next action. Reporting and internal coordination. Monday Kick-Off participation. Oversight of client-facing end-of-day and end-of-week reporting on assigned accounts. Monthly account review with the Principal. This position is not the project manager — Production runs the jobs — nor the estimator. It is the client's person inside our company. Why technical background matters here This is the requirement most likely to make or break someone in this role, and we want to be direct about it. Our buyer is the construction or facilities executive at a multi-unit brand — Director of Construction, Sr. Director, Director of Facilities, VP of Development. Most came off the contractor, engineering, development or design side. They know how a building goes together and they instinctively know when something is amiss on a job. They extend respect — and therefore the relationship, and therefore the work — to someone who can hold a real conversation about a schedule, a submittal, an RFI, a long-lead item or a change order. A relationship-only salesperson does not survive the first site walk. We are deliberately broad about where that grounding comes from. We are not looking for a specific résumé. We are looking for someone who has been close enough to how things get built that they cannot be bluffed.
Qualifying Backgrounds:
Construction, Civil/Structural/MEP Engineering, Real Estate Development, Architecture/Design-Build, Building Systems/Materials, or Multi-Site Facilities Management. Requirements Required Technical grounding from one of the backgrounds above Demonstrated program or project management experience across multiple sites, with ownership of the outcome A track record of personally holding and growing named client accounts A specific account or program that went badly wrong, what they personally did about it, and where it ended up. This is the most important item on this list. Comfort in multi-unit, multi-site commercial environments Genuine willingness to be reachable when a client has an emergency Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client and job sites Strongly preferred QSR, fast casual, restaurant, retail or hospitality construction and facilities experience Familiarity with third-party FM platforms — ServiceChannel, ResQ, Corrigo or similar An existing network among construction and facilities executives at multi-unit brands Involvement with RFMA, ConnexFM, CCRP or AGC Ability to read drawings, scopes, schedules and change orders CRM discipline Not a fit if the background is transactional sales with no delivery-side exposure, there is no multi-site or program experience, they need a fully built pipeline handed to them, or they consider a client emergency outside business hours to be somebody else's problem. Compensation 1 — Base compensation — $52,480 annually The base covers the core responsibilities of the position, performed on a regular cadence, independent of revenue outcome. Responsibility & Standard Account management: Named relationship owner for all assigned accounts; maintains contact cadence; owns escalations; single point of client accountability Business development: Builds and works the target account list; manages the association and conference calendar Marketing and outreach execution: Quarterly campaigns issued on schedule; event-driven outreach; project stories and testimonials supplied to marketing Digital presence: One LinkedIn post per week aligned to the campaign calendar; ongoing connection-building in the target audience CRM management: All accounts, leads and prospects accurate, correctly staged, each with a dated next action Reporting and internal coordination: Monday Kick-Off participation; oversight of EOD and EOW client reporting; monthly account review with the Principal 2 — Commission and performance compensation Uncapped. Paid on assigned-account billings above CORE's operating base. 2A — Revenue commission on assigned accounts Tier (annual gross billings across assigned accounts) & Rate Operating base — first $500,000 ; 0% Tier 1 — $500,001 to $1,500,000 ; 1.75% Tier 2 — above $1,500,000 ; 2.50% The first $500,000 of annual billings across the assigned accounts is CORE's operating base. It covers payroll and the basic cost of running the accounts, and carries no commission. Commission is triggered on every dollar of assigned-account billing above that level — existing and new alike. The rate steps once and then holds. Nothing escalates beyond 2.50%. 2B — Performance compensation
