Remote & In-person if in Calabasas, CAOur client is seeking an Account Executive 1 (AE 1) who will independently manage a moderately sized book of commercial business ($600K-$700K in revenue) with minimal supervision. This role is responsible for driving client retention, leading renewal strategy, and delivering comprehensive insurance solutions across multiple lines of business. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to navigate complex accounts, and a proactive approach to client service and growth.What You'll Do:
Independently manage a commercial book of businessServe as primary point of contact for moderate-sized accounts, including a minimum of two Commercial Top 50 accountsLead marketing efforts, renewal negotiations, and carrier strategy to secure optimal outcomesConduct in-depth coverage analysis and develop tailored risk management solutionsDrive retention initiatives and identify opportunities for account rounding and upsellingCollaborate with Senior Account Managers and support staff to ensure operational efficiency and client satisfactionNavigate accounts across diverse industries (not limited to niche sectors)Support entertainment-related accounts and complex business models as neededUtilize the Agency Management System (AMS) to manage workflows and documentation (experience required)Participate in quarterly (or biannual) in-person meetings if remote; Calabasas-based team members work in-office two days per weekPerform additional duties, projects, and research as assignedWhat You'll Need toSucceed:
Minimum of 10 years (15 years preferred) of commercial insurance experienceValid Property & Casualty license (required)CIC designation preferred or currently in progressDemonstrated success managing and growing a moderate-sized book of businessStrong technical expertise across multiple lines of businessExperience working across a variety of industries (not solely niche-focused)Proficiency with an Agency Management System (AMS) is mandatoryAbility to operate independently with high accountability and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environmentStable career progressionMust be able to work California business hoursOccasional travel may be requiredWhat Our Client Offers You:
