About the Role We are a well-established law firm in Myrtle Beach seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Trust Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role responsible for managing the day-to-day trust accounting functions of a busy law firm, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity in all financial transactions. Key Responsibilities Process and disburse trust account checks for real estate transactions in accordance with firm procedures and South Carolina bar regulations Maintain accurate records of all trust account activity, including deposits, disbursements, and reconciliations Reconcile trust accounts on a regular basis and resolve any discrepancies promptly Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely and accurate handling of closing funds Maintain organized filing systems for all trust accounting records Assist with audits and reporting as needed Identify and flag any irregularities or compliance concerns to firm management Communicate daily with banks, ensuring wires are transmitted and posted correctly Qualifications Prior experience in real estate, accounting, bookkeeping, HOA management or a related field is a plus but not required; we are open to training the right candidate Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously Proficiency with basic computer applications; experience with accounting or legal software is a bonus Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information No specific license or certification required Why Join Us We offer a welcoming and professional work environment, competitive compensation, and the stability of a long-established firm with deep roots in the Myrtle Beach community.
