Available Help for . An established industrial distribution company in the Port Arthur area is seeking an experienced Industrial Sales/Account Manager to manage existing customer accounts, oversee customer orders, and develop strong relationships with industrial clients. This position will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and will be responsible for ensuring orders, quotes, product requests, and customer needs are handled accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and experience working within an industrial distribution, supply, manufacturing, or related environment. Job Responsibilities Manage and maintain assigned customer accounts while developing strong, long-term business relationships

Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, product availability, pricing, quotes, deliveries, and account needs

Receive, enter, process, and oversee customer orders from initial request through completion

Prepare and follow up on quotes and pricing requests

Review purchase orders and customer requests for accuracy

Monitor open orders and communicate updates, delays, backorders, or changes to customers

Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, shipping, and other departments to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time

Assist customers with identifying products and sourcing materials based on their needs

Check product availability and coordinate special-order or non-stock items when necessary

Maintain accurate customer information, pricing, order history, and account documentation within the company system

Follow up with customers regarding outstanding quotes, current orders, upcoming needs, and additional sales opportunities

Build relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to increase sales and expand accounts

Respond promptly to customer questions, concerns, and service issues

Work to resolve order discrepancies, delivery issues, returns, or other customer concerns

Communicate professionally with customers by phone, email, and in person

Work closely with outside sales representatives and management as needed

Assist with establishing new customer accounts and maintaining required account documentation

Monitor customer purchasing activity and communicate significant changes or opportunities to management

Maintain knowledge of company products, services, inventory, and capabilities

Provide management with sales, order, and customer account information as requested

Perform additional sales, customer service, and administrative duties as needed Qualifications & Requirements Previous industrial sales, account management, industrial distribution, or related experience strongly preferred

Experience working with industrial customers, products, materials, or supplies preferred

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, orders, quotes, and deadlines simultaneously

Strong organizational and follow-up skills

Comfortable working with pricing, purchase orders, quotes, invoices, and order documentation

Proficient computer and data-entry skills

Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to learn the company's inventory/order management software and product lines

Ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and management teams

Dependable, professional, self-motivated, and able to take initiative

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment
