Genuinely enjoying working with children is a must for this position. Our Playtown Attendants interact with children and families throughout every shift. We're looking for someone who is patient, friendly, energetic, and comfortable engaging with kids while also providing great customer service to parents and caregivers. This is a hands-on position. You'll help oversee the play area, welcome guests, assist with birthday parties and special events, keep our facility clean and organized, and jump in wherever you're needed to help the day run smoothly. Responsibilities Greet children and families with a friendly, welcoming attitude Interact positively with children and help create a fun environment Monitor the play area and help ensure safety rules are followed Assist children and families as needed during their visit Check guests in and answer questions about Grayberry Playtown Provide excellent customer service and handle routine guest concerns professionally Help with birthday parties, activities, and special events Handle cash and card transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system Help with food, drink, or merchandise purchases as needed Clean, sanitize, and reset play areas throughout the day Keep the front desk, party areas, restrooms, and other spaces clean and organized Restock supplies and let management know when items are running low Answer phones and assist with basic questions and booking inquiries Assist with opening and closing duties once trained Help set up and clean up for special events Stay productive and complete routine tasks without needing constant supervision Jump in wherever needed to keep Grayberry Playtown running smoothly Qualifications Must genuinely enjoy working and interacting with children Patient, kind, and comfortable communicating with children of different ages and personalities Friendly and professional when interacting with parents and caregivers Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy Able to take initiative and stay productive without constant direction Comfortable enforcing rules in a kind but confident manner Able to remain calm and professional when handling customer concerns or unexpected situations Comfortable cleaning and maintaining a clean, organized environment Comfortable handling money and learning a point-of-sale system Able to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, cleaning, moving supplies, and helping with event setup Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities Pass a drug and background check Previous experience working with children, families, customer service, hospitality, food service, childcare, education, events, or similar environments is a plus, but we're also willing to train the right person .
