$30-35.90/hr (up to $70,000 annually, based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator with a strong Food Science background to support communications initiatives within the food and food ingredients industry. While communications experience is important, knowledge and experience in Food Science, food additives, food processing, and related technical areas will be prioritized over traditional marketing experience. A strong understanding of enzymes and their applications in food processing is critical to success in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Food Science background who also has strong writing and communication skills and is interested in applying their technical knowledge in a communications-focused position. Key Responsibilities Develop clear, accurate, and engaging written communications related to food science, food ingredients, food processing, and related topics. Translate complex scientific and technical information into content that is understandable and engaging for various audiences. Research and communicate information related to enzymes, food additives, food processing, and other food science topics. Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and consistency of communications. Support a variety of communications and content development initiatives. Use strong writing and editing skills to create polished, professional content. Ensure communications accurately represent scientific and technical concepts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Communications, Marketing, or a related field . 3-5 years of professional experience in communications, technical writing, marketing communications, or a related area. Strong knowledge or experience in Food Science, food additives, food processing, food ingredients, or a related technical discipline . Strong understanding of enzymes and their role in food processing is critical. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. Ability to take complex scientific concepts and communicate them clearly to a broader audience. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with technical information. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have a Food Science background combined with strong communication and writing skills . Candidates with a strong technical understanding of food science and enzymes who may have less traditional marketing experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation & Employment This is a contract-to-hire opportunity . The selected candidate will begin as a contractor on an hourly basis, with the opportunity to transition to a salaried employee.
Contract rate:
Up to $35.90/hour , depending on experience Direct hire salary: Up to $70,000 annually , depending on experience Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment INDBH
