As a destination marketing organization, our goal is to increase travel and tourism to Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and dependable project coordinator with a passion for storytelling, digital content and travel. Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, this position will execute Louisville Tourism's established content strategy and support the day-to-day production, scheduling, organization and distribution of visitor-facing content across owned channels. Roles & Responsibilities Write, edit, proofread and update high-quality visitor-facing content, including blog posts, website copy, email newsletters, landing-page copy and other digital materials. Maintain the department's master editorial and email calendars, track deadlines, collect inputs and confirm that approved content and assets are ready for publication. Build, test, schedule and deploy email campaigns using approved templates, audience segments and quality-assurance procedures. Coordinate recurring email content with internal stakeholders, including gathering copy and assets, routing drafts for review and documenting approvals. Publish and maintain website content in the content management system, following SEO, accessibility, linking and formatting best practices established by the team. Support content-related projects such as photo and video shoots, e-marketing campaigns and contracted assignments by coordinating timelines, logistics, deliverables and approvals. Organize, tag and maintain Louisville Tourism's library of photos, videos, copy and other owned assets so materials are accurate, searchable and easy to distribute. Coordinate and develop regular educational content for the 78 Social program in partnership with appropriate team members and subject-matter experts. Assist with content research, fact-checking and identification of timely Louisville stories, seasonal opportunities and audience interests. Collaborate in the department's integrated content planning process, ensuring alignment across social, web, email, public relations and campaign content. Repurpose approved long-form, web and email content into channel-appropriate formats in coordination with the Social Media Manager and other Marketing Communications team members. Compile content and email performance data, maintain recurring reports and flag notable trends or opportunities for review. Maintain clear project files, status updates and documentation for assigned content work. Work collaboratively with Marketing Communications, Tech Marketing and other Louisville Tourism teams to support cohesive, accurate and on-brand content. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. One to three years of experience in content creation, communications, digital marketing, email marketing or a related role. Strong writing, editing, proofreading and fact-checking skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, details and approval workflows. Working knowledge of content management systems, email marketing platforms and digital collaboration tools. Basic understanding of SEO, web accessibility and digital content best practices.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
