Job Summary A marketing coordinator is responsible for assisting the marketing manager in developing and implementing the Lyman-Morse marketing strategy. He/she must have a "can do" attitude to go above and beyond to ensure the Lyman-Morse brand continues to thrive. Key Responsibilities Assists in developing the company's marketing strategy and budget Monitor the effectiveness of marketing efforts Research and evaluate media outlets Develop sales materials for our Brokerage division Aid in planning and executing company events such as regattas, trade, and consumer shows Develop promotional materials in accordance with the brand strategy Write press releases and other marketing documents Administrative support for the marketing department Manage company website Launch and maintain social media promotions Conduct SEO research and modify online presence accordingly Coordinates the creation of company newsletters and publications
Requirements:
Required Experience Excellent written communication skills Proven history of personal organization and multitasking Website development and management Social media marketing Recommended Educational Experience Marketing or communications certificate or degree Additional Requirements Reasoning Skills
  • Ability to provide solutions to complex challenges. Computer Skills
  • Experience with various computer software programs, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. WordPress or other website development software helpful. Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, or other design software is preferred. Motivation Skills
  • Ability to motivate oneself and other employees to achieve their personal bests either through direct mentoring, consultation, and encouragement and to encourage a "team" approach to project completion. Physical Demands
  • The physical demands include a combination of desk time and event management operations, including handling of materials (up to 70 pounds). Daily tasks require visits to various buildings and boats on the LM campuses. Including stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, snowy/icy walkways, and hazards typical to a boatyard and marina environment. Work Environment

The work environments can involve, but are not limited to: Extensive periods of sitting at a desk Periods of computer usage and telephone communications Lifting and moving of supplies, record boxes, and other materials
