The Seven | Ferndale, MI About Us The Seven is a brand-new elevated events venue in Ferndale, Michigan, dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and special occasions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking hardworking, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our team in Event Support roles. This is a part-time, event-based position with shifts available as needed based on our event calendar. Hours will vary from week to week, making this position best suited for someone with flexibility who is looking for supplemental work and the opportunity to grow with our team. Position Summary The Event Support role is a highly active support position that helps keep our service team and event spaces running efficiently. The primary focus is supporting bartenders and servers with glassware, ice, supplies, food service, event setup, clearing, cleaning, and breakdown. This role involves significant movement and physical activity throughout the shift. We are looking for individuals who are hardworking, proactive, physically capable, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed. Schedule Part-time, event-based position with shifts scheduled as needed Events may take place on weekdays, evenings, and weekends Hours and number of shifts will vary based on the venue's event calendar Hours may vary from week to week; however, as The Seven continues to grow and our event calendar expands, we anticipate opportunities for more consistent scheduling. Responsibilities Keep bars stocked with ice throughout events Ensure bartenders have the appropriate glassware needed throughout service Collect, transport, and organize glassware between bars, storage room and the dishwashing area Assist the dish team with sorting and organizing clean and dirty glassware Polishing and rolling silverware when needed Carry trays of food and assist servers with food service Clear glassware, plates, and other items from guest tables throughout events Assist with resetting and maintaining tables during service Help set up event spaces according to floor plans and event specifications Move, carry, arrange, and store tables and chairs Assist with event breakdown and cleanup Maintain clean and organized bars, service areas, and event spaces Work closely with bartenders, servers, event captains, and venue management Anticipate what the team needs and take initiative without waiting to be asked Perform other duties as needed to ensure successful event execution Qualifications Hospitality, restaurant, banquet, catering, or event experience preferred but not required Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be done Strong teamwork and communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Willingness to learn and take direction Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to safely carry bus tubs, racks of glassware, ice, serving trays, tables, chairs, and other event equipment Ability to repeatedly bend, squat, reach, lift, push, and pull throughout a shift Ability to move quickly and safely through busy event spaces Ability to perform physically demanding work for the duration of an event What We're Looking For We're building our team from the ground up and are looking for people who want to grow with us.
