Event Assistant - Children's Author Event (One Day Only) Wadena, MN Local children's author seeking one dependable and friendly event assistant for a fun family-oriented book event at the Wadena Public Library on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9 am to 2 pm This event features the magical children's book Who Put Butter on a Plate?! and welcomes families, parents, and children from the local community.

Job Duties Include:

Assisting with event setup and table organization Helping maintain a welcoming event atmosphere Taking photos during the event Assisting with light cleanup after event General event support as needed

Compensation:

$100 cash paid at the end of the event

Qualifications:

Friendly and dependable Comfortable around children and families Able to arrive on time 9 am sharp or a couple minutes early Positive attitude and willingness to help This is a great opportunity for someone interested in books, photography, community events, or working with families and children.
