Marketing Coordinator Humane Society of SW Missori Springfield, MO Job Details Full-time $16 - $22 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Teamwork Research Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Newsletters (communication methods) Marketing operations Layout design Full Job Description The Marketing Coordinator at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri (HSSWMO) will be responsible for marketing activities, internal, external, and media communications, with emphasis on marketing HSSWMO programs, fundraising campaigns, and signature events. Manage online and traditional marketing strategies with responsibility for website content, social media, print, and media advertising. Provide creativity, energy, enthusiasm, and new ideas to engage people with HSSWMO's mission. Writing, editorial, and production responsibility for HSSWMO's print and online publications. Manage and maintain editorial and branding consistency in all printed and electronic materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create promotional calendar and timeline to include HSSWMO's milestones, promotions and events; manage production to ensure departmental and program promotions, activities, and deadlines are met. Manage traditional and online marketing strategies consistent with our needs and timelines . Research and stay on top of trends and best practices to develop and expand effective online and social media marketing. Identify and capitalize on promotional opportunities with appropriate urgency for timely messaging. Oversee internal and external communications, incorporating consistent voice in all published materials. Manage the process, layout, and content for HSSWMO's print and online publications including, but not limited to, website, calendar, newsletter, constant contact. Maintain HSSWMO website with up to date pictures, announcements, events, statistics, testimonials, etc. Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities, create marketing reports and maintain on a weekly basis. Write engaging and original stories and assist other departments with marketing content including, but not limited to, intake, volunteer, fostering, clinic and adoption departments. Manage the production and development of video, photographic, and other visual content to support marketing of HSSWMO's programs and goals. Administrative responsibilities for events, promotions, board meetings and internal communications. Editorial responsibility and style assistance for HSSWMO website; responsible for marketing content, promotions, and updates of program and event information. Respond to media interviews and other opportunities; write, edit, and provide copy, news stories, and other items for publishing. Retain knowledge of HSSWMO's programs, events, culture, and objectives. Manage media presence and marketing activities at HSSWMO's signature events. Responsible for creating collateral, press kits, presentation materials, press releases, flyers, newsletters, brochure production, and other communications content. Interface with other departments regarding promotional needs and provide creative and technical support as needed. Support other departments within the organization as needed. Special projects, events and other duties as assigned. Always treat people and animals with respect, contribute to effective teamwork, promote staff cooperation, and foster public relations beneficial to HSSWMO. Responsible for complying with all Federal, State and safety regulations and laws, as well as HSSWMO guidelines. Follow established procedures governing safe work practices; and perform duties in a manner that assures the safety of oneself and others. Qualifications Proficient in Marketing practices and strategy Knowledgeable in all social media avenues Comfortable with media appearances and public speaking Graphic design for social media platforms, website and publications Ability to work in a fast paced environment with keen attention to detail Animal welfare experience a plus
