ABOUT US
The North Carolina Courage , a member of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), is seeking a Ticket Operations Intern to join our team for 2027 season apart of the ROAR Internship Program . ROAR is designed to be a developmental experience, preparing interns for potential full-time roles within the club or the broader sports industry. Provide real opportunities to contribute to impactful organizational work, drive revenue and get real world experience within the professional sports industry. Support advancement through mentorship, workshops, professional exposure, networking events, and team building activities. Build readiness through tangible deliverables and portfolio quality projects
ROAR Program Overview:
The 2027 ROAR internship program will run alongside the NC Courage and NWSL season. The program will run from February 2027
  • November 2027, including the summer/World Cup Break. Interns will work Monday
  • Friday, along with occasional evening & weekend events, and Matchday Operations. This program is built for someone who wants more than exposure
  • it's for those who want responsibility, real experience, and the opportunity to learn how a world-class women's soccer club operates behind the scenes.
Assist with day-to-day departmental tasks and projects. Conduct research and analyze data. Prepare reports and presentations. Participate in department/team meetings and planning sessions. Provide administrative support as needed. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
INTERNS WILL WORK ON-SITE IN OUR FRONT OFFICE IN RALEIGH NC
About the Role The Ticket Operations Intern will support day-to-day operations and special projects within the Ticketing Department, contributing directly to the success of the Club throughout the season. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and best suited for someone who is curious, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Interns are expected to bring a strong work ethic, a growth mindset, and a willingness to learn quickly while operating with professionalism and accountability.
Key Responsibilities Ticketing Department Support:
Collaborate with ticketing leadership, attending weekly team meetings, taking notes, and providing solutions and action items for ticketing campaign issues and ideas. Assist in running Asana Boards, to capture and track sales analytics, to ensure the club sales are pacing on track. Maintain accurate records through the CRM (Salesforce) and ticket system (JUMP)
Fan Engagement:
Support the implementation of fan-focused initiatives to build a strong and loyal supporter base. Analyze trends and find bugs in new ticketing platforms, to ensure optimal user experience. Assist with execution of on-field and season-ticket-member experiences during matches/events Manage accounts to provide the highest level of customer service in coordination with our
Fan Relations Manager Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, partnership, communications, and community, to ensure seamless coordination leading to game days.
Ticketing Research:
Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and fan demographics to inform ticketing strategies. Research new ways to push sales with fans and spread brand awareness to new audiences. Identify, research, and connect with prospects for new groups, ticket plans, and partnerships through internet research, email, and cold calls
Internship Qualifications:
At least a junior in a 4-year degree seeking program at an accredited college or university (For post-grad internships, must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field) Experience with Jump or similar ticketing platforms including Paciolian, Ticketmaster, and Archtics. Strong interest in professional sports, particularly women's soccer. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
