We are especially interested in someone with dental assisting experience and a current Oregon radiologic proficiency certificate who would enjoy combining their clinical knowledge with patient coordination, front-office responsibilities, and practice marketing. This is a great opportunity for a dental assistant who understands the clinical side of dentistry but enjoys working with patients, organizing schedules, creating systems, and helping a practice grow. What You'll Do Hygiene & Patient Coordination Manage and maintain a productive hygiene schedule Schedule and confirm patient appointments Actively work to fill openings and minimize holes in the schedule Manage continuing care/recall and reactivate overdue patients Help patients understand recommended treatment and next steps Coordinate scheduling between hygiene and restorative treatment Front Office Greet and check patients in and out Answer phones, texts, and patient questions Assist with insurance and other front-office responsibilities as needed Communicate closely with the dentist, hygienists, and assistants Occasionally assist on the clinical side when appropriate Marketing & Practice Growth Help manage the practice's social media presence and create simple, engaging content Keep our online presence and practice information current Help encourage and respond to patient reviews Develop and maintain patient referral initiatives Help create and execute marketing campaigns and promotions Assist with photos, videos, educational content, and practice updates Track where new patients are coming from and help evaluate which marketing efforts are working Identify opportunities to reconnect with inactive patients and patients with unscheduled treatment Bring new ideas for community outreach and practice growth We'd Love Someone Who Has dental office experience — dental assisting experience strongly preferred Has a current Oregon dental X-ray/radiologic proficiency certificate Understands dental terminology, procedures, and treatment flow Is comfortable and confident communicating with patients Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Enjoys social media, marketing, or creative projects Is comfortable learning new technology and trying new ideas Is dependable, positive, and works well as part of a small team Dentrix experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person Marketing experience is a plus, but definitely not required About Our Office We are a privately owned dental practice in Sherwood focused on providing excellent dentistry and a great patient experience. We value teamwork, continuing education, technology, and finding better ways to serve our patients. We're looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the practice and take ownership of their role. This isn't simply a position answering phones — you'll have the opportunity to help shape our hygiene program, patient communication, marketing, and continued growth.
