Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques. Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption. Deliver packages directly to customers' doors with professionalism and a friendly attitude, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with commercial driving regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and documentation for all shipments processed during each day. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including inventory management, material handling, and supporting team members with moving or loading tasks. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong background in delivery driving. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while following manual handling procedures. Commercial truck driving experience or stepvan driver skills with a valid driver's license suitable for operating box trucks or commercial vehicles. Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices or face-to-face interactions. Using a scanner to take quality pictures, and package placement to customers front door. Strong organizational skills for route planning, load & unload tasks, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.
