Job Description
Description:
Junior Media Planner Location:
Newtown Square, PA (Hybrid) Overview We are seeking a Junior Media Planner with 1-3 years of hands-on agency experience to support an integrated media team spanning digital and traditional channels. This role is built for someone comfortable moving between digital platforms, but that can also offer traditional support, reporting help, and day-to-day account operations. You'll work closely with the Media Director, Associate Media Director, and traditional buyers, gaining exposure across the full media mix while building deep digital execution skills. This is primarily an internal planning focused role with occasional client-meeting support, ideal for someone who wants broad integrated experience rather than a narrow specialty. Key Responsibilities- Support the planning, execution, and optimization of digital campaigns (display, programmatic, paid social, search, streaming) under the guidance of the AMD and Media Director.
- Assist with budget tracking, pacing documents, and reconciliation across multiple accounts.
- Pull, organize, and help analyze campaign performance data; build reporting decks and dashboards for internal and client use.
- Provide flexible support across the team, shifting between digital and traditional workstreams.
- Sit in on client meetings in a support capacity (notetaking, follow-up materials, light Q&A) rather than leading conversations.
- Maintain organized project files, timelines, and trafficking documentation from brief through campaign wrap.
- Proactively flag questions, errors, or inefficiencies rather than waiting to be asked. Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on agency experience in media planning and/or buying.
- Working familiarity with digital platforms such as Meta Business Manager, Google Ads/Search, DV360, or The Trade Desk (depth not required; willingness to learn is essential).
- Basic exposure in traditional media (broadcast, radio, OOH) a plus.
- Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets for budget tracking and reporting; familiarity with GA4, Tableau, or similar reporting tools a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and project management instincts.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities without losing organization. Desired Soft Skills
- Genuinely curious about both digital and traditional media.
- Proactive and resourceful; asks good questions and follows up independently.
- Team-oriented, detail-oriented, eager to learn from senior broadcast and digital specialists alike.
