Position Overview The Marketing Coordinator will provide hands-on support for the firm's marketing, digital marketing, social media, community outreach, and event initiatives. This position will play an important role in increasing brand awareness, strengthening community relationships, supporting referral development, promoting firm events, and ensuring the firm's marketing activities are professional, consistent, and engaging. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, creative, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines. This person should also be confident using digital marketing tools, social media platforms, Canva, and AI-powered tools to create high-quality work efficiently. Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing & Social Media Assist with implementing the firm's digital marketing strategy across appropriate online channels. Create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content across the firm's social media platforms. Develop social media content that reflects the firm's brand, services, community involvement, events, and areas of legal knowledge. Monitor social media activity, engagement, and trends and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement. Assist with website content updates, SEO initiatives, online listings, and other digital marketing activities. Assist with email marketing, newsletters, and other digital communications. Track basic digital marketing and social media performance and provide regular updates on engagement, reach, and other relevant metrics. AI & Marketing Technology Effectively use AI-powered tools to assist with research, brainstorming, content creation, editing, social media development, marketing analysis, and workflow efficiency. Identify opportunities to use AI and other technology to streamline recurring marketing tasks and improve productivity. Use good judgment when working with AI, including reviewing and verifying AI-generated content for accuracy, tone, confidentiality, and compliance before publication. Learn and effectively use the firm's marketing, CRM, social media, scheduling, and other technology platforms. Content Creation & Brand Support Assist with creating content for articles, newsletters, social media, presentations, email campaigns, website content, and other marketing materials. Create and coordinate event-specific graphics, promotional materials, presentations, handouts, and other collateral. Use Canva to create professional, on-brand graphics and marketing materials. Maintain consistency in the firm's branding, messaging, tone, and visual presentation across marketing materials and platforms. Assist with photography, video, and other multimedia content creation as appropriate. Proofread and edit marketing materials to ensure they are accurate, polished, professional, and consistent with the firm's brand. Event Planning & Execution Coordinate and support the planning and execution of educational seminars, webinars, community outreach events, networking events, and other firm-sponsored events. Manage event details from planning through completion, including invitations, registration, communications, presentations, handouts, signage, supplies, catering, and event setup. Create and coordinate event promotional materials and social media campaigns. Send event invitations, confirmations, and text reminders. Coordinate with attorneys, staff, vendors, venues, and community partners to ensure events are organized and executed successfully. Ensure team members are prepared and equipped for upcoming events. Assist with attendee engagement and post-event follow-up. Help coordinate and promote Prevention Planning events and other educational programs. Community Outreach & Referral Development Develop and maintain positive relationships with referral sources, including financial advisors, healthcare providers, retirement communities, senior-focused organizations, and other community partners. Attend and represent the firm at networking functions, expos, community events, educational programs, and other opportunities. Assist with identifying opportunities to increase the firm's visibility and strengthen community relationships. Coordinate referral thank-you communications and other relationship-building activities. Community & Client Relations Assist with initiatives that strengthen relationships with clients, referral partners, and the communities we serve. Help coordinate community sponsorships, silent auction donations, welcome baskets, and other community or firm initiatives. Assist with client and referral-partner communications, including thank-you notes and condolence cards, as appropriate. Marketing Operations Maintain the firm's marketing calendar and coordinate deadlines for campaigns, events, social media, content, and other marketing initiatives. Keep marketing projects organized and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. Coordinate with attorneys, staff, and outside vendors as needed to move marketing initiatives forward. Assist with tracking marketing activities, campaigns, events, and results. Help maintain organized marketing files, templates, graphics, content, and other resources. Brand Management & Public Relations Help ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels and materials. Assist with media opportunities, press releases, interviews, community visibility initiatives, and other public relations activities. Help identify opportunities to highlight the firm's community involvement, accomplishments, attorneys, and areas of expertise. Compliance Help ensure marketing and advertising materials comply with applicable legal marketing ethics, advertising regulations, and firm policies. Review marketing content carefully for accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance before publication. Other Responsibilities Support the Marketing Team in other marketing, event, community outreach, and administrative activities as appropriate. Take initiative to identify opportunities to improve the firm's marketing efforts, systems, processes, and client experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of marketing, digital marketing, social media, event coordination, or related experience. Demonstrated experience creating and managing social media content. Demonstrated experience using Canva to create professional marketing materials and graphics. Experience with digital marketing, including social media, email marketing, SEO, website content, and/or marketing analytics. Experience planning and coordinating professional events. Experience using AI tools, including generative AI, AI-assisted research, or AI-powered marketing and productivity tools. Ability to travel locally and within assigned markets for events, meetings, networking opportunities, and community outreach. Skills & Abilities Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Strong creative skills with an eye for professional, polished, and visually appealing content. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of social media platforms and current social media practices. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, content marketing, email marketing, and online engagement. Strong Canva skills and ability to create professional graphics and marketing materials. Comfortable using AI tools to improve research, content creation, brainstorming, editing, productivity, and workflow efficiency. Ability to evaluate and edit AI-generated content for accuracy, quality, tone, and appropriateness. Ability to plan and execute professional events and manage multiple event details simultaneously. Ability to prioritize competing projects and meet deadlines. Ability to respond with a sense of urgency while remaining calm, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure. Professional, polished, and client-friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills. Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM software, and website analytics. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design tools is a plus. Photography, video, or multimedia content-creation experience is a plus. Familiarity with legal marketing ethics and compliance guidelines is a plus. Understanding of elder law topics such as Medicaid planning, long-term care, guardianship, and estate planning is a plus. Work Environment Full-time position. Primary work location - Irmo, SC Regular local travel for events, networking, community outreach, and meetings. Occasional travel to other firm markets may be required.
