Job Description
Under general direction of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in promoting the City of College Station as a premier travel destination and business hub. This position supports the development and execution of marketing strategies and core tactics to drive visitation, enhance brand awareness, and engage key audiences including leisure travelers, meeting planners, event organizers, business leaders and institutional partners. Perform a variety of duties to support marketing initiatives and promote Visit College Station, including but not limited to assisting in the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, social media, and other channels, including coordination with third-party partners; assisting in tracking and analyzing marketing campaign performance; assisting with the development of promotional materials; and assisting with event planning and execution. Manage Visit and Compete College Station social media accounts, including creating a calendar of activities, all content creation, scheduling, community engagement, performance tracking and reporting. Manage VisitCollegeStation.com, including content updates, blog creation, and application oversight. Support email marketing initiatives, including eNewsletter content development, subscriber list growth, and management and analytics reporting. Collaborate and participate in community and university events, particularly with Texas A&M University, to foster engagement, strengthen partnerships, and support both prospective and new student initiatives. Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal Tourism departmental and Public Communications staff to ensure optimal messaging, content and imagery across various graphic and promotional needs. Coordinate photography and videography efforts to ensure high-quality visual assets for marketing purposes. Support media relations efforts, including coordinating media visits. Maintain marketing databases, asset libraries, and partner listings to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Perform other related duties as assigned.
