FRONTeras Advertising Sales Representative Schedule:

FRONTeras Rio Grande Valley / Starr County FRONTeras, a bilingual political magazine covering the Rio Grande Valley and the Texas-Mexico border region, is hiring an Advertising Sales Representative to sell print and digital ad space to local businesses, organizations, and political candidates. This is a commission-based role, ideal for a self-motivated salesperson who knows the local business community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and pursue new advertising clients across print and digital platforms
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and candidates
• Present ad packages and pricing tailored to client needs
• Close sales and coordinate with the editorial/design team on ad placement
• Track leads, follow-ups, and closed sales

COMMISSION STRUCTURE

Commission increases as you close more sales:

• Sales 1-5: 10% commission per sale
• Sales 6-10: 15% commission per sale
• Sales 11-15: 20% commission per sale
• Sales 16 and beyond: 25% commission per sale (ceiling rate)

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior sales experience preferred, especially in advertising or media
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable with commission-based pay
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
