Marketing & Brand Coordinator (Cannabis Retail)
Location:
Kirkland, WA Job Type:
Full-Time, In Office Job Overview We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and high-energy Marketing & Brand Coordinator to drive our brand's presence across all platforms. This role is a hybrid of digital management, physical brand execution, and community engagement. You will be responsible for ensuring our online menus are flawless, our social media is engaging, and our in-store experience is cohesive—all while navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the Washington cannabis industry. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a "lone wolf" environment, can pivot quickly in a highly regulated space, and knows how to translate digital engagement into physical foot traffic, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities Digital Ecosystem & E-commerce Menu & Web Management:
Update online menus (Weedmaps, Leafly), and manage the brand website interface utilizing our Posabit POS integration for real-time inventory accuracy.
Product Content:
Create digital and physical content to assist in the customer journey and ensure 100% accuracy between the physical shelf and the digital menu.
Review Management:
Implement strategies to encourage and ensure customer reviews on Google, Yelp, and industry platforms to boost local SEO and brand trust.
Social Media & Community Engagement Content Strategy:
Develop and execute a bi-weekly content calendar including photography and short-form videos in daily postings.
Influencer Outreach:
Identify and manage relationships with local influencers and brand ambassadors to expand reach within WSLCB compliance guidelines.
Community Management:
Create and schedule push notifications to ensure our customers are up to date with current campaigns. Monitor engagement and respond to inquiries in a professional, brand-consistent voice.
In-Store Experience & Internal Promotion End-to-End Campaign Management:
The role involves ideating sales campaigns, developing go-to-market strategies, forecasting performance metrics, and managing execution through to post-campaign ROI analysis.
Visual Merchandising:
Design and install in-store signage, promotional flyers, product price cards, digital display graphics, and rotating showcase displays.
Internal Coordination:
Align retail staff with current marketing goals, ensuring they are aware of internal promotions and daily specials to maintain a unified sales message.
Staff Education:
Organize and lead staff product education binders to ensure budtenders are knowledgeable about new drops, brand partners, and consumption methods.
Event Planning & Vendor Relations Vendor Days:
Coordinate with brand partners to schedule and host in-store vendor days, ensuring all logistics, accountability, and promotional support are in place.
Field Marketing:
Conceptualize and execute monthly on-site pop-ups and community events, managing everything from coordination to execution.
Compliance & Performance Tracking Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure all marketing assets strictly adhere to Washington state (WSLCB) cannabis advertising regulations (age-gating, claim restrictions, 21+ warnings, updated
ESB 5206
exterior signage limits, etc.) and Meta advertising policies.
Tracking Metrics:
Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including social media growth, website traffic, event ROI, and the direct impact of influencer campaigns on sales.
Qualifications & Requirements Age Requirement:
Must be 21+ years of age.
Experience:
2+ years in marketing, retail coordination, or brand management (Cannabis industry experience is heavily preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with website creation platforms, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, and social media analytics tools. Familiarity with Posabit is a major plus.
Compliance Knowledge:
Deep, audit-level understanding of state-specific cannabis advertising allowances.
Communication:
Strong public speaking skills for staff training and excellent writing skills for digital content.
Logistics:
Reliable source of transportation and flexibility in scheduling.
Mindset:
Data-driven, highly organized project manager with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
