We are the largest full-service hotel with 606 rooms located in downtown Anchorage. The hotel has a full-service restaurant, bar, room service, concierge lounge, exercise room, indoor pool and 20,000 square feet of functional event space. The Director of Catering will be responsible for effectively selling the public space, food and beverage, and function planning services of the hotel to maximize revenues and profits for the hotel. The Director of Catering will solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, and written communication.
Qualifications:
Associates/bachelor's degree in hospitality management, or marketing. Extensive experience in catering, event planning, hospitality, or food service management (typically 2-3 years) experience in a similar role. Proven track record of managing large-scale catering operations and teams. Experience in sales, marketing, and client relationship management. Certifications (Optional but advantageous) : SERV Safe Food Handler or Manager Certification. Hospitality management certifications. Key Qualifications for the
