Director of Sales
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead all sales, business development, marketing, estimating strategy, and customer relationship management activities for our service division. This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, and support the company's long-term business objectives within the detention and specialty construction industries. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute division-wide sales and business development strategies. Establish and achieve annual revenue, profitability, and growth objectives. Lead, mentor, and develop sales management and sales teams. Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and sales reporting processes. Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, government agencies, contractors, and industry partners. Direct major proposal efforts, estimating activities, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with operations, project management, and executive leadership to align resources with business goals. Oversee marketing initiatives, trade shows, branding efforts, and customer retention strategies. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities. Manage department budgets, staffing, and performance standards. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field. Valid driver's license. Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including managing sales teams. Strong leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, and business development skills. Preferred MBA or related advanced degree. 12+ years of experience in detention construction, government contracting, estimating, or specialty construction markets. Industry-related sales, leadership, or construction certifications. What Makes You Successful Proven ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
