Role:
Serving as the team leader, providing strategic and tactical direction for marketing and sales initiatives while also regularly contributing to the execution of these initiatives. By working collaboratively with Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) and other community interdepartmental teams, you will establish, monitor, contribute to, and ultimately achieve team and individual goals for census, budgets, prospect activity levels and other essential metrics. What you'll be doing: Demonstrate leadership by ensuring accountability and embedding PRS Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—into department culture at all times. Provide strategic and tactical direction to Sales and Marketing employees, lead check-in meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development, and offer ongoing one-on-one coaching and guidance. Lead all team sales efforts by managing a pipeline of prospects, conducting sales activities, recording notes in CRM, receiving deposits, and coordinating move-ins. Monitor personal and team progress toward goals, identify barriers, and implement creative solutions to ensure results. Support the execution of the marketing plan and budget in collaboration with PRS. Demonstrate professional and compelling community presentations across tours, calls, written communications, and ensure apartments are show-ready while supporting prospective residents in finish selections and renovation timelines. Maintain deep knowledge of the primary and secondary markets, industry trends, and competitor activity by engaging in training, reviewing professional publications, and networking. Research and advocate for innovative ways to improve the Sales and Marketing Department and overall community excellence. Serve as the department spokesperson, sharing updates with Executive Directors, PRS leaders, and residents. Ensure CRM data accuracy, safeguard resident and staff confidentiality (including HIPAA compliance), manage digital content, participate in community events, and lead or support cross-departmental initiatives as assigned.
About you:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, marketing or a related field. Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing or related field is preferred. Prior supervisory experience including budgeting, performance management, discipline and management of employees. Ability to initiate prompt and appropriate action/follow-up to problems and issues. Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, customer relationship management software and social media platforms.
