Job Description

Yamaha Golf Car (YGC) has an excellent opportunity for a District Sales Manager to join our team and lead Fleet Sales in our Virginia and North Carolina territory. The position works with the Regional Sales Manager to implement strategic action plans that support the overall corporate and district direction. This position is responsible for achieving retail / wholesale targets for new and used units as well as parts and accessories. Must be able to work independently, formulate and implement sales and dealer development strategies, develop sales forecast while maintaining budget and expenses. What you'll be doing: Act as a business consultant to the dealer: Assist dealer to meet market demand for Yamaha products, create strong business goals and help improve the overall business. Develop rapport with dealership staff. Develop strategies to improve dealer performance (sales, shop share in multi-line accounts, customer satisfaction - sales, service, and parts). Educate dealers on utilization of sales programs to maximize unit and accessory sales and market potential. Provide feedback to Regional Sales Managers on market trends and competitive activity through regular district reports. Promote Yamaha products at required consumer events; including Dealer Shows, Regional Shows, and District Events. Monitor dealer's facility, capital and management to assure compliance with company standards and agreements. Manage documentation for the set-up, relocation, cancellation, and buyout of dealerships within the district. Perform other related duties as assigned What you need to be successful: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience in field operations, or in a retail sales setting required Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
