We are a dealership group and distribution business for an innovative manufacturer of refrigerated, dry freight, and flatbed trailers. We remain at the core value of the world's largest producer of refrigerated trailers, and one of the largest overall trailer manufacturers in the United States. Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to work closely with Senior Management, Leadership, and our Sales Teams to grow our Parts, Service, and Equipment Sales, including new and used trailers and refrigeration units. This is a customer-facing sales position focused on building strong relationships, providing excellent customer service, and finding new business opportunities. The BDM will support our Aftermarket, Equipment Sales, and Service Teams while maintaining existing customers and developing new customers throughout the assigned sales territory. Key Responsibilities Maintain and grow customer relationships throughout assigned market areas. Stay in regular contact with customers and prospects through in-person visits, phone calls, follow-ups, and deliveries. Help increase parts, service, new and used trailer, and refrigeration unit sales. Find and develop new business opportunities for the company. Understand each customer's needs and provide solutions that work for their business. Help customers select parts by explaining product features, benefits, warranties, and available options. Keep customers informed about new products, parts, service, and equipment offerings. Work with managers across departments to increase awareness of our products and services. Complete and submit weekly sales reports, including customer calls, prospects, sales activity, and competitor information. Create a weekly plan for customer calls and in-person visits throughout the assigned territory. Stay up to date on CARB regulations and compliance requirements. Stay aware of competitors and market activity and recommend ways to increase sales. Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, managers, and team members. Stay up to date on parts terminology, products, service, and equipment offerings. Attend training as required and communicate any additional training needs to management. Keep accurate and organized records of customer and sales activity. Work toward Company sales and growth goals while managing day-to-day customer needs. Maintain a valid driver's license and remain insurable under the Company's vehicle insurance policy. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and make sure products are handled safely during deliveries. Follow all Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Daily travel throughout the assigned territory is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in business development, outside sales, parts, service, equipment sales, or customer service preferred. Strong sales and customer service skills. Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Ability to understand customer needs and recommend effective solutions. Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to work independently and manage an assigned sales territory. Knowledge of trailer equipment, parts, service, or the transportation industry is a plus. Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and sales-related systems. Ability to remain professional and calm in stressful situations. Valid driver's license and ability to meet Company vehicle insurance requirements. Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned market areas.
Salary:
$73,000.00-$85,000.00 per year depending on experienceJob Type:

In person Physical Demands & Work Environment Walking, standing, and moving around company facilities, warehouses, service areas, and customer locations. May occasionally need to lift or move boxes, parts, or equipment. Prolonged computer and screen time when completing reports and other paperwork. Daily driving and travel throughout the assigned sales territory. May occasionally travel to other company locations for meetings or training. Work may take place in offices, warehouses, service areas, customer locations, and outdoor areas. Clear communication with customers, vendors, managers, and team members is required.Job Type:
