JOB SUMMARY
The beautiful Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team. Hotel consists of 382 guest room property with 36,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Located conveniently close to the Anaheim Convention Center, Disneyland Resort, Angel Stadium and the Honda Center, the Hotel has a great mix of groups and business.
CANDIDATE PROFILE REQUIRED
CI/TY proficiency, knowledge of Opera and/or MARSHA Previous experience working in hotel sales (Sales Coordinator or Sales Manager role) Knowledge of property-specific business segments (group, events, BT, social, catering)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Respond to RFPs in a timely manner in CI/TY, Cvent, SimpleView, etc. Proactively solicit all business segments to drive revenue Source past account leads and prospect new business Drive customer satisfaction through daily interactions (e.g., solicitations, correspondence, account calls, in-person meetings, etc.) Conduct site inspections and prepare original, creative proposals tailored to address the needs of and to impress the customer Strong negotiator and closer Leverage all available sales channels, (e.g., marriott.com, group and transient intermediaries, field sales, etc.), to optimize sales revenues Services customers to obtain and grow share of the account and handles customer care issues. Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs. Qualifications Two or more years of hotel sales experience preferred; convention, group, or full-service hotel experience is strongly desired. Proven ability to develop accounts, negotiate contracts, and achieve revenue goals. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to contractual details. Ability to manage multiple leads, deadlines, and client priorities simultaneously. Working knowledge of hotel operations, group sales, room blocks, meeting space, and banquet services. Experience and proficient knowledge with Cvent, CI/TY, and Marriott brand experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications. Flexibility to attend occasional evening, weekend, and off-site client events. Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
