As we continue expanding our presence in the U.S. market, we are looking for an experienced Director of U.S. Sales (West Coast) to take ownership of U.S. sales growth, channel development, strategic accounts, revenue performance, and sales team productivity. This is a player-coach leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible not only for building and managing the U.S. sales (West Coast) organization, but also for personally developing strategic accounts, closing complex deals, and delivering an individual sales quota. Role Purpose Own and drive GOLFJOY's U.S. bookings, revenue, cash collection, gross-margin quality, forecast accuracy, and sales-team productivity. The Director of U.S. Sales (West Coast) will translate company objectives into actionable sales plans, establish a scalable channel system, develop key B2B accounts, and build a high-performing U.S. sales team. Key Responsibilities 1. U.S. Sales Strategy & Revenue Ownership
- Develop and execute GOLFJOY's overall U.S. sales strategy and annual sales plan.
- Translate company goals into monthly sales targets by product/offer, channel, account, and salesperson.
- Personally own strategic accounts and an individual sales quota.
- Drive revenue growth across golf courses, retailers, distributors, dealers, and B2B commercial customers.
- Establish sales KPIs, targets, performance standards, and accountability across the sales organization.
- Take ownership of sales results, cash collection, and gross-margin quality. 2. Pipeline, Forecast & Sales Management
- Own the U.S. sales pipeline, lead allocation, opportunity stages, forecasting, and opportunity strategy.
- Establish clear sales stages and qualification standards to ensure the pipeline reflects genuine opportunities.
- Lead weekly pipeline and forecast reviews with the sales team.
- Identify and remove stale, unqualified, or low-probability opportunities.
- Maintain a credible monthly forecast and proactively communicate risks, gaps, and recovery plans to management.
- Build a disciplined, data-driven CRM and sales management process. 3. Strategic Accounts & Business Development
- Develop and manage high-value strategic accounts across the U.S.
- Build relationships with golf courses, golf facilities, retailers, distributors, dealers, commercial operators, and other B2B customers.
- Personally lead complex sales processes, including discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and payment collection.
- Develop priority-account plans and clear win strategies for major opportunities.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships that can accelerate GOLFJOY's U.S. growth. 4. Channel & Dealer Development
- Build and optimize GOLFJOY's U.S. dealer and channel model.
- Establish clear rules for direct sales versus dealer/channel sales.
- Define dealer tiers, requirements, sales targets, and performance standards.
- Develop and maintain active, producing dealer relationships.
- Build a repeatable U.S. sales playbook covering lead generation, qualification, demos, proposals, negotiation, closing, and customer handoff.
- Focus on productive channels and revenue generation rather than simply increasing the number of signed dealers. 5. Pricing, Contracts & Commercial Control
- Manage pricing, discounts, proposals, contracts, payment terms, collections, and commercial exceptions within approved authority.
- Protect company pricing and margin standards while remaining competitive in the U.S. market.
- Ensure sales agreements are commercially sound and executable before commitments are made.
- Maintain complete and accurate records for pricing, contracts, payment status, and customer commitments.
- Escalate commercial risks and exceptions appropriately to the CEO/U.S. Head. 6. Market & Product Localization
- Provide Headquarters with insights into U.S. market trends, customer needs, competitive products, and market opportunities.
- Translate customer and market feedback into actionable recommendations for product development and localization.
- Provide input on product positioning, pricing, packaging, features, and commercial requirements for the U.S. market.
- Work closely with Headquarters, R&D, Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure products and processes meet U.S. market requirements. 7. Brand Marketing & Industry Events
- Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute U.S. sales and brand initiatives.
- Lead sales participation and commercial planning for major industry events, including PGA Show and other key golf industry trade shows.
- Use industry events to generate qualified leads, develop strategic relationships, and drive business opportunities.
- Build GOLFJOY's relationships and visibility within the U.S. golf and sports technology industry. 8. Team Building & Leadership
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and evaluate U.S. sales team members.
- Build the U.S. sales organization and establish clear roles, targets, responsibilities, and performance standards.
- Coach salespeople on discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, closing, and customer management.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and weekly sales reviews.
- Improve team conversion rates, sales productivity, and execution quality.
- Build a results-oriented sales culture based on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate effective handoffs between Sales, Operations, Finance, Installation, and Marketing. Qualifications
- 8+ years of sales experience in the golf industry, with demonstrated success in B2B solution sales, channel development, and strategic-account management.
- 3+ years of sales team management experience, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Proven experience personally closing complex B2B deals and managing the full sales cycle from discovery through contracting and collection.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage dealer, distributor, retail, and/or strategic-account channels.
- Strong understanding of
U.S. B2B
sales processes, pricing, margins, forecasting, CRM, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience in golf, sports technology, consumer electronics, commercial equipment, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering repeatable team results, not only a large pipeline, strong personal relationships, or an impressive job title.
- Strong business judgment with a solid understanding of unit economics, gross margin, pricing, and commercial risk.
- Strong forecasting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and communicate risks clearly.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with international Headquarters and cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to work on-site in Irvine, CA. Preferred Profile
- Existing network within golf courses, golf facilities, golf retailers, distributors, dealers, commercial operators, or golf industry organizations.
- Experience launching, scaling, or developing an international brand in the U.S. market.
- Experience building a sales organization or channel network from an early stage.
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on leader who can both set strategy and personally close business.
- Highly accountable, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment.
- Transparent and proactive in communicating sales risks, pipeline gaps, and business challenges.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
