Full-Time, Non-Exempt About Innovation Baseball Partners (IBP) Innovation Baseball Partners (IBP) is an ownership group and operating company focused on building a portfolio of independent minor league baseball teams. We believe in the magic of baseball as a force for good—fostering high-quality baseball and strong community connections through innovation, entertainment, and civic pride. IBP provides resources, scale, and expertise to help each team in our portfolio thrive. Our teams compete in the Pioneer Baseball League, an independent league founded in 1939 that partners with Major League Baseball. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the ticket sales engine for Long Beach's newest professional baseball team. We're looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who is energized by prospecting, closing business, and creating a strong fan and client experience. Position Overview The Ticket Sales Manager is responsible for driving ticket revenue for the Long Beach Coast across season tickets, mini plans, group outings, hospitality packages, and other ticket products. This role leads proactive outbound sales efforts, manages renewals and account service, supports ticket sales reporting and forecasting, and helps deliver a high-quality game day experience for clients and fans. This is a fast-paced, revenue-focused role that requires strong communication, persistence, organization, and a team-first mindset. Key Responsibilities Ticket Sales & Revenue Generation Sell a full menu of ticket products, including season tickets, mini plans, group outings, hospitality areas, and other premium or special-event inventory Generate new business through outbound calls, emails, in-person meetings, stadium tours, networking events, and community outreach Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and sales opportunities Meet or exceed sales activity goals, appointment goals, and revenue targets Execute renewal, upsell, cross-sell, and retention efforts for existing ticket accounts Develop targeted sales initiatives for businesses, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, churches, and other community groups Represent the team at community and business events to build relationships and create new sales opportunities Account Management & Service Serve as a primary point of contact for season ticket members, group leaders, and hospitality clients Respond to client questions, service requests, and ticket issues in a timely, professional manner Coordinate game day experiences and fulfillment needs with internal departments to ensure excellent execution Build strong customer relationships that drive renewals, referrals, and long-term loyalty Sales Operations & Reporting Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of outreach, appointments, accounts, and revenue activity in CRM and ticketing systems Track sales pace, pipeline health, renewals, and key performance metrics; provide regular reporting and recommendations to leadership Process payments, paperwork, contracts, and account setup accurately and on time Partner with ticketing, marketing, and operations teams on inventory, offers, theme nights, and lead-generation campaigns Support ticket fulfillment, customer account maintenance, and related administrative sales needs as required Leadership & Game Day Execution Help recruit, train, and manage interns, seasonal sales staff, or additional ticket representatives as needed Participate in weekly sales meetings, sharing updates, ideas, and performance insights Work all home games and select special events to support ticket sales, client service, hospitality execution, and lead generation Assist with box office or ticket resolution needs on event days when necessary Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or leadership Qualifications 3-6 years of experience in ticket sales, inside sales, sponsorship sales, or a related revenue-generating role; sports or live event experience preferred Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, close business, and retain accounts Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with phone outreach, in-person presentations, and client meetings Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Experience working in CRM and ticketing systems; familiarity with platforms such as Vivenu, or comparable systems is a plus Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and community events as needed Preferred Attributes Experience in sports, live events, hospitality, or entertainment Comfort selling to local businesses, community groups, schools, youth sports organizations, and nonprofit partners Competitive, goal-oriented, and coachable, with a strong work ethic Passion for creating memorable fan experiences and helping grow a new professional sports brand Compensation $25/hour, plus commission/bonus opportunity; commensurate with experience. Schedule Requirements Must be available for a standard business schedule plus all home games, select stadium events, and applicable evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season and offseason.
