Role:
Everest at Oceanside is seeking an experienced, energetic, and relationship-driven Community Relations Director / Sales Director to lead our community's sales and occupancy growth. This is a highly visible, results-oriented leadership position responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from generating and nurturing leads to conducting tours, building referral relationships, following up with prospective families, and ultimately converting qualified prospects into successful resident move-ins. The ideal candidate understands that choosing senior living is both an important personal decision for families and a relationship-based sales process. We are looking for someone who can build genuine trust with prospective residents and their families while maintaining the organization, persistence, and accountability necessary to consistently achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Occupancy Growth:
Own and manage the community's sales pipeline from initial inquiry through move-in. Consistently achieve established monthly, quarterly, and annual move-in and occupancy goals . Respond promptly and professionally to new inquiries and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the decision-making process. Conduct engaging and personalized community tours that effectively communicate the value of our community, services, amenities, and care options. Develop customized follow-up strategies based on each prospective resident's needs, timeline, and decision-making process. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects and proactively advance leads toward deposit and move-in. Monitor conversion rates, lead sources, lost leads, move-ins, move-outs, and other key sales metrics. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all leads, activities, follow-ups, and outcomes within the community's CRM. Participate in regular sales meetings, forecasting, and performance reviews.
Referral & Business Development:
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, physicians, home health and hospice agencies, placement professionals, senior organizations, and other referral partners. Conduct regular outreach and external business development activities throughout the local market. Identify new referral opportunities and build relationships that generate sustainable lead volume. Represent Everest at community events, networking opportunities, professional meetings, and local organizations. Maintain consistent communication with referral partners and ensure Everest remains top-of-mind when senior living needs arise.
Prospective Resident & Family Experience:
Serve as a knowledgeable and compassionate resource for prospective residents and their families. Develop a strong understanding of each prospect's care needs, financial considerations, preferences, and timeline. Coordinate with community leadership and clinical teams to help ensure prospective residents are appropriate for the community. Guide families through the decision and move-in process while providing a responsive, organized, and welcoming experience. Maintain relationships with prospects who are not immediately ready to move and continue appropriate long-term follow-up.
Marketing & Community Engagement:
Partner with community leadership and the corporate marketing team on outreach initiatives, events, promotions, and lead-generation strategies. Assist in planning and executing community events designed to generate leads and strengthen professional referral relationships. Provide feedback regarding market conditions, competitor activity, pricing, promotions, and prospective resident trends. Maintain awareness of competing senior living communities and understand Everest's competitive advantages within the Oceanside market.
Performance Expectations:
This position is accountable for measurable sales results. The Community Relations Director will be expected to: Meet or exceed established monthly and quarterly move-in goals . Maintain a healthy and active sales pipeline. Consistently follow up with prospective residents, families, and referral partners. Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting. Demonstrate measurable growth in professional referral relationships and lead generation. Contribute to achieving and maintaining the community's targeted occupancy. Meet established annual performance objectives. Performance will be regularly reviewed against established sales, occupancy, conversion, and business-development goals.
Qualifications:
Required/Preferred Experience 2+ years of sales, business development, community relations, or related experience preferred. Senior living, assisted living, memory care, healthcare, hospitality, or other relationship-based sales experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and close business. Experience working toward measurable sales goals, quotas, or occupancy targets. Strong relationship-building, networking, and follow-up skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Comfortable using CRM systems and maintaining detailed sales activity records. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with community and corporate leadership.

Base Salary:
$68,000-$82,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for: Commission for qualifying resident move-ins Performance incentives tied to established sales and occupancy goals Year-end performance bonus opportunities based on achievement of established goals The compensation structure is designed to reward both individual sales performance and the overall occupancy success of the community.
Schedule:
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position. Because senior living sales are driven by the availability of prospective residents and their families, some flexibility may be required for evening or weekend appointments, tours, networking events, and community events .
