, established in 1969, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager - New & Used Truck Sales to lead our sales efforts, develop customer relationships, and drive the growth of our New and Used Commercial Truck business. Gibbs Truck Centers is a medium/severe-duty and heavy-duty Commercial Truck Dealer with five locations throughout Central California. What We Offer $80,000 base salary with total earning potential of up to $125,000 annually through performance-based commissions Vacation and Sick time benefits Medical insurance 401(k) with 2.5% employer match Monday-Friday standard work schedule Paid training, on boarding, and ongoing support A professional, team-oriented, and positive work environment Responsibilities Lead, motivate, coach, and support the New and Used Truck Sales team to achieve and exceed established sales goals. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and commercial customers. Drive sales of new and used commercial trucks, including in-stock units, factory orders, leases, and rentals. Develop new business opportunities and expand the dealership's customer base and market share. Actively participate in customer visits, sales calls, presentations, negotiations, and closing opportunities. Assist sales team members with customer needs, pricing, negotiations, and closing complex sales opportunities. Monitor individual and team sales performance and provide coaching and direction to achieve monthly and annual objectives. Establish and maintain consistent prospecting, CRM, and customer follow-up practices. Ensure the sales team provides exceptional follow-up and remains committed to customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales process. Review sales opportunities, contracts, pricing, and required documentation for accuracy and compliance with dealership procedures. Work closely with Finance, Parts, Service, Rental, and other dealership department leaders to provide a seamless customer experience. Support the sale of available warranty and finance products. Ensure professional presentation and organization of new and used truck inventory and displays. Oversee truck inspections and ensure inventory is properly represented and maintained. Monitor market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, and sales opportunities to identify areas for growth. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports, forecasts, and other required documentation. Ensure sales activities and paperwork are completed accurately and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures. Promote a professional, customer-focused, and team-oriented sales environment. Operate safely and follow all company safety policies and guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance and represent Gibbs Truck Centers positively in the community. Perform other duties as assigned. Have fun and be part of a winning team! Qualifications 3-5 years of sales experience required; commercial truck, heavy-duty truck, or automotive sales experience preferred. Previous sales leadership or management experience strongly preferred. Proven and consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Strong knowledge of commercial trucks, truck specifications, applications, and configurations preferred. Strong customer service, sales, negotiation, and closing skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and telephone skills. Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and local businesses. Computer proficiency and experience with CRM or dealership sales systems. Ability to accurately complete contracts, sales documentation, and required paperwork. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and self-motivated attitude. Ambitious, goal-oriented, and able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain any required California salesperson licensing or credentials.
