Job Description

The Sales Director is responsible for driving occupancy growth and revenue performance for the senior living community through strategic sales leadership, relationship development, and exceptional customer engagement. This role leads the sales process from initial inquiry through move-in, builds strong partnerships with prospective residents and their families, and develops referral relationships within the surrounding community. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, results-driven sales professional who understands the senior living industry and is passionate about helping older adults and their families find the right living solution. Essential ResponsibilitiesSales & Occupancy Growth Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals. Manage the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, follow-up, tours, presentations, deposits, and move-ins. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, lead sources, conversion rates, and pipeline opportunities. Conduct engaging community tours that highlight lifestyle, services, amenities, and resident experience. Identify opportunities to improve sales performance and increase market share. Partner with leadership to develop and implement marketing initiatives that support census growth. Relationship Building & Outreach Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective residents, families, referral partners, and community organizations. Develop outreach strategies with hospitals, healthcare providers, senior service organizations, and professional referral networks. Represent the community at networking events, educational programs, and local senior-focused activities. Build trust with families by providing guidance, education, and support throughout the decision-making process. Team Collaboration Collaborate with Executive Directors, Resident Care teams, Marketing partners, and operational leaders to ensure a seamless transition from inquiry to move-in. Participate in daily sales meetings and occupancy reviews. Support a culture centered on hospitality, dignity, and resident satisfaction. Provide feedback and insights regarding market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. Customer Experience Deliver a high-touch sales experience focused on understanding each prospective resident's goals, preferences, and care needs. Ensure timely and professional communication with leads and families. Maintain confidentiality and uphold all company policies, compliance standards, and ethical practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field preferred. 4+ years of sales experience, preferably within senior living or healthcare preferred. Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals. Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills. Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Compassionate, customer-focused approach with a genuine interest in serving older adults and their families. Preferred Experience Experience with independent living, assisted living, memory care, or continuing care retirement communities. Knowledge of senior living regulations, referral networks, and local market dynamics. Experience with occupancy management and census growth strategies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Occupancy and move-in goals Lead conversion rates Tour-to-deposit and deposit-to-move-in ratios Referral partner growth CRM activity and follow-up consistency Resident and family satisfaction Physical & Work Requirements Ability to conduct community tours and attend outreach events. Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events and resident/family meetings. Ability to communicate effectively with seniors, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
