Position:
The Sales & Commercial Director is responsible for leading global sales and business development efforts to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. This role provides leadership to the sales team, develops commercial strategies, manages key customer accounts, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue and growth objectives. Develop and execute global sales and business development strategies to expand market share and drive growth in targeted industries. Identify and pursue new business opportunities while establishing performance goals and growth initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners to support long-term business success and customer retention. Collaborate with key account managers to develop customer-focused solutions, proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements. Oversee and manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, quoting, negotiations, contract execution, and account management. Partner with operations, customer support, and other cross-functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met and services are delivered effectively. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive position. Track, analyze, and report sales performance metrics and customer activity to support business decision-making and continuous improvement. Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events while supporting global business development initiatives. Manage sales-related budgets and expenditures, including travel, customer engagement, and business development activities. Travel domestically and internationally as required to support customer relationships, key accounts, and growth objectives.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams within the aerospace, defense, power generation, or related industries. Strong technical knowledge of gas turbines, aircraft engines, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, and related aftermarket solutions. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales and business development strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion. Proven ability to establish, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships with key stakeholders across the aerospace, industrial, and defense sectors. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close high-value business opportunities. Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills, including experience managing remote and geographically dispersed teams. Ability to analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer requirements, operational capabilities, and profitability objectives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience may be considered. An advanced degree, such as an MBA, is preferred. The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten 10 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, account management, or commercial leadership roles, including at least five 5 years of experience leading and developing sales or commercial teams. Experience within the aerospace, defense, power generation, industrial, or related industries is strongly preferred.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to communicate verbally and listen effectively during meetings, presentations, negotiations, and customer interactions. Ability to work flexible and extended hours as necessary to support customers and colleagues across multiple global time zones. Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Works in moderate noise levels. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50-70% as required.
