  • 45,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday | Rotating shifts within center hours of 6:30 AM-6:30 PM The Learning Experience
  • Newark is seeking an organized and motivated Assistant Director to support the daily operation of our early childhood education center.
This role combines leadership, family service, staffing support, and center operations. We're looking for someone who can confidently support teachers and families while helping ensure the school runs smoothly each day. What You'll Do Partner with center leadership to support daily operations Assist with staffing, scheduling, classroom coverage, and maintaining required ratios Support teacher onboarding, training, coaching, and development Maintain licensing and employee documentation Build strong relationships with current and prospective families Conduct center tours and support enrollment and family retention Assist with administrative and business functions Help maintain high standards for classroom quality, health, and safety Respond to day-to-day operational needs throughout the center Support community events and family engagement initiatives Follow Delaware childcare licensing requirements What We're Looking For Delaware Director qualification preferred Candidates who are close to meeting Director qualifications and have strong relevant experience are encouraged to apply Previous childcare center, preschool, or early childhood experience required Leadership or administrative experience strongly preferred Strong customer service and family communication skills Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working rotating opening, mid, and closing schedules as needed Must meet applicable Delaware childcare licensing requirements What We Offer $40,000
