Be our next Director, Energy & Power Systems EXP is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to establish and grow our Energy Infrastructure and Mission Critical Facilities practice across North America. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Expansion, this role will lead strategy, business development, client engagement, and market expansion focused on powering the next generation of data centers, AI infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, utilities, and resilient energy systems. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in utility infrastructure, grid interconnection, power generation, transmission, energy development, and mission critical facilities, along with established relationships across utilities, hyperscale technology companies, developers, and public agencies. What a day at EXP has in store for you Develop and execute EXP's strategic growth plan for Energy Infrastructure and Mission Critical markets. Build relationships with hyperscale cloud providers, AI infrastructure developers, utilities, independent power producers, and energy developers. Lead pursuit strategy, capture planning, and client development activities. Identify and secure opportunities for planning, engineering, owner's representative, program management, and advisory services. Expand EXP's footprint in data centers, utility infrastructure, transmission, substations, renewable energy, energy storage, and distributed energy resources. Strategic Advisory Services Advise clients on power availability, grid capacity, interconnection strategy, and utility engagement. Lead infrastructure planning efforts supporting data center and mission critical developments. Support site selection and due diligence activities requiring utility and energy infrastructure assessments. Provide executive-level guidance regarding energy reliability, resiliency, sustainability, and speed-to-market considerations. Practice Leadership Build and lead a multidisciplinary national team. Establish technical offerings, market positioning, and strategic partnerships. Collaborate with transportation, aviation, buildings, environmental, and infrastructure business lines to develop integrated solutions. Support recruitment and development of industry-leading talent. Executive Client Engagement Serve as executive sponsor for major strategic clients. Represent EXP at industry conferences, utility forums, and energy market events. Establish thought leadership initiatives focused on AI infrastructure, energy transition, electrification, resiliency, and grid modernization. Proven track record developing large-scale infrastructure programs and client relationships. Experience engaging utilities, ISOs, RTOs, energy developers, and major commercial clients. Demonstrated success leading business development and market growth initiatives.
