This is not a general sales position. The primary responsibility is to onboard OEMs and product lines that complement our Core Portfolio, then work closely with our global Sales organization to successfully implement those products with airlines and other approved customers. The position requires someone who can engage credibly with senior OEM stakeholders, build a strong commercial case, negotiate an appointment, and remain actively involved until the portfolio is generating measurable, recurring business. Our Distribution Model Leki Aviation operates a focused and lean distribution model. We use customer demand, historical consumption, fleet information, and market intelligence to identify the products the market requires. Based on validated demand, we invest in inventory to improve product availability and provide timely support to airlines and other customers. We do not simply add products to a catalog and wait for inquiries. Our Sales organization actively presents and promotes the onboarded portfolio, supports customer implementation, and works to develop recurring demand. For our OEM partners, this provides:
  • Broader access to airlines and customers across multiple regions.
  • Active commercial representation and structured market development.
  • Inventory investment based on validated customer requirements.
  • Improved product availability and reduced customer lead times.
  • Market intelligence, customer feedback, and measurable sales activity.
  • A long-term partner focused on building sustainable aftermarket business.
The Position As Business Development Executive, you will take ownership of OEM opportunities from initial identification through commercial appointment, onboarding, market launch, and customer implementation. You will develop relationships with prospective OEM partners, understand their aftermarket objectives, and demonstrate how Leki Aviation can expand their market reach and improve customer support. Once an OEM has been appointed, you will coordinate the internal launch and work directly with our global Sales team to ensure the portfolio is understood, actively promoted, and implemented with the correct target customers. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage OEMs and product lines that align with Leki Aviation's strategy, customer base, and Core Portfolio.
  • Build relationships with senior commercial, aftermarket, product, technical, quality, and operational stakeholders.
  • Develop clear business cases covering market potential, target customers, expected sales, inventory requirements, commercial resources, risks, and expected return.
  • Present Leki Aviation's distribution, inventory, and active-selling model to prospective OEM partners.
  • Lead commercial discussions relating to distribution appointments, territories, product coverage, pricing, inventory commitments, performance expectations, and market development.
  • Coordinate the onboarding and internal implementation of newly appointed OEMs and product lines.
  • Work with Sales to identify target accounts, customer requirements, product opportunities, and specific implementation actions.
  • Provide Sales with the product knowledge, commercial positioning, supporting material, and training required to represent each portfolio effectively.
  • Support initial customer meetings, portfolio presentations, product approvals, and strategic implementation opportunities.
  • Ensure that newly appointed products are actively promoted rather than relying only on incoming demand.
  • Monitor customer adoption, quotation activity, sales conversion, recurring demand, and inventory performance.
  • Provide OEM partners with structured reporting on customer activity, pipeline, sales performance, inventory, market feedback, risks, and agreed actions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand successful partnerships into additional products, customers, regions, or programs.
  • Maintain a qualified OEM development pipeline and accurate commercial records within the CRM.
  • Travel internationally to meet OEM partners, customers, and internal teams as required.
The Person We Are Looking For You are commercially sharp, structured, and persistent. You understand that securing an OEM appointment is only the beginning; the real result comes from successfully bringing the products to market and creating recurring customer demand. You can communicate with senior OEM stakeholders while remaining closely involved in the practical work required to launch and develop a portfolio. You are comfortable building commercial models, challenging unsupported assumptions, coordinating across departments, and holding agreed actions to completion. You should be able to explain clearly how customer demand, inventory investment, product availability, and active sales execution work together to create value for both the OEM and the customer. Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in OEM business development, aerospace distribution, supplier development, product management, strategic sales, aftermarket management, or a related commercial role.
  • Demonstrated success securing and developing OEM partnerships, distribution appointments, product-line agreements, or comparable strategic supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the aviation or aerospace aftermarket, including OEM priorities, airline procurement, distribution, inventory support, and recurring customer demand.
  • Strong commercial understanding of pricing, gross margin, forecasting, contracts, inventory investment, working capital, and return on investment.
  • Experience developing credible business cases and presenting commercial proposals to senior decision-makers.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional implementation and enabling Sales teams to bring new products successfully to market.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience working internationally across countries, cultures, departments, and time zones.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data-supported commercial reporting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally. What We Offer
  • A central role in expanding Leki Aviation's global OEM portfolio.
  • Direct involvement in strategic OEM appointments and aftermarket development.
  • The ability to take ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through measurable commercial performance.
  • Close cooperation with senior management, OEM partners, and a global Sales organization.
  • A practical environment where initiative, commercial discipline, and successful implementation are valued.
Please submit your résumé together with a short introduction outlining your experience developing OEM partnerships and bringing new product lines to market.
