US-IL-Arlington Heights (Arens) Full time JR13169 Sales Manager Drive Growth. Build Customer Partnerships. Lead Commercial Excellence. Curtiss Wright Industrial Division is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead commercial growth and customer development across its industrial markets. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, expanding customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and other functions to deliver profitable growth. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial leadership with a solid understanding of technical products and industrial markets. This is a highly collaborative role requiring the ability to translate customer needs and market opportunities into actionable sales strategies while maintaining a strong focus on revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Salary Range:

• Your challenge As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading sales activities and developing business opportunities for Curtiss Wright Industrial Group Portfolio. You will manage relationships with key customers, identify and pursue new market opportunities, support strategic account development, and ensure alignment between customer requirements and internal business objectives. You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to develop winning commercial strategies, support new product introductions, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable growth. Sales Strategy & Business Development Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability objectives. Identify new business opportunities, target markets, applications, and customers aligned with Arens Controls' capabilities and strategic priorities. Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, customer engagement, and opportunity development. Lead efforts to expand market share within existing accounts while identifying and developing new customer relationships. Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth. Develop strategies to convert new opportunities into sustainable, profitable business. Customer & Account Leadership Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, OEMs, and strategic accounts. Serve as a senior commercial point of contact for customers and ensure their needs are effectively communicated and addressed internally. Conduct regular customer meetings, business reviews, and account planning activities. Understand customer applications, technical requirements, purchasing drivers, and future business needs. Resolve customer issues by coordinating appropriate internal resources and ensuring timely follow-through. Strengthen customer loyalty by delivering responsive, professional, and value-added support. Commercial Execution Lead the sales process from opportunity identification through quotation, negotiation, award, and successful transition to the business. Partner with Product Management and Engineering to develop solutions that address customer requirements and create differentiated value. Collaborate with Finance and Operations on pricing, cost, margin, capacity, and commercial considerations. Participate in contract and commercial negotiations while protecting company profitability and strategic interests. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide visibility into pipeline, bookings, revenue, and customer activity. Use CRM and other business tools to manage opportunities, customer information, forecasts, and sales performance. Market & Competitive Intelligence Develop a strong understanding of the industrial, commercial vehicle, off-highway, and related markets served by Arens Controls. Monitor competitive products, pricing, technologies, customer strategies, and market developments. Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to Product Management and leadership to support portfolio and product strategy. Identify emerging customer needs and applications that may create opportunities for new products or product enhancements. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure successful execution of customer programs. Coordinate internal resources to support customer opportunities and resolve commercial or technical issues. Provide the voice of the customer internally and ensure customer requirements are clearly understood across the organization. Support new product development and product launch activities by providing market and customer insight. Work collaboratively across functions to ensure commitments made to customers are achievable and successfully executed. Sales Performance & Planning Establish sales objectives, priorities, and action plans consistent with business and financial goals. Track sales performance, pipeline development, bookings, revenue, and profitability. Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and business updates for leadership. Identify gaps to plan and develop corrective actions to improve performance. Support annual operating plans, strategic account plans, and long-range business planning. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred. 7+ years of progressive sales, business development, account management, or commercial experience, preferably within industrial, commercial vehicle, off-highway, automotive, electronics, electromechanical, or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and growing business with OEMs, industrial customers, distributors, or other strategic accounts. Experience selling technical products or engineered solutions in a B2B environment. Strong understanding of sales strategy, business development, customer relationship management, forecasting, and commercial negotiations. Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, develop sales pipelines, and convert opportunities into profitable business. Strong business acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins, profitability, and commercial decision-making. Ability to understand technical products and effectively communicate value propositions to both technical and business audiences. Strong analytical, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Finance, and other functions. Experience with CRM systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel as required to support customers, business development activities, and industry events.
