Job Description

Event Coordinator Holiday Inn Bloomington, IL is looking for an Event Coordinator to join our team in Bloomington, IL.

Job Summary:

The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating events for our clients in the hospitality industry. This position will work with our Sales Manager to plan and execute events that are both large and small, including but not limited to corporate events and private parties. The Event Coordinator will also assist in the execution of these events within our client's facilities, including the coordination of venue rentals, food service, and other support services. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating events within a hospitality setting, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate all event details with our clients Communicate event details with vendors Coordinate venue rental arrangements with vendors Coordinate food service details with vendors Coordinate equipment rentals with vendors Manage equipment deliveries and set up as needed for events Manage event supplies orders with suppliers Manage event security measures as needed for events Reaching out to leads via email, cold calling, outside visits Assisting guests with check in at front desk Establishing and maintaining key account relationships Ensuring event is running smoothly Other duties assigned by manager and superior

Required Experience and Qualifications:

•Minimum of 1 years event experience in a hospitality setting or restaurant environment. Corporate or private event experience preferred. In addition to the requirements above, the candidate must possess the following skills: excellent communication skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks; self-motivated; team player; positive attitude; ability to work independently; adaptable; flexible; professional demeanor; Open availability
