Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager directly supervises assigned Account Managers and is responsible for regional sales performance, profitable growth, customer retention, business development, pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and consistent use of the company sales process. The position works closely with customer service, operations, product specialists, warehouse and logistics teams, sales support, and vendor partners. Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Five or more years of successful B2B sales, account management, territory management, business development, industrial distribution, branch leadership, customer-facing team leadership, or related commercial experience.
- Strong understanding of customer relationships, follow-up discipline, sales activity, service execution, and basic business results such as sales growth, gross profit, customer retention, and account expansion.
- Ability to coach people, set expectations, inspect progress, give direct feedback, and hold team members accountable.
- Ability to learn technical products, applications, pricing, vendor programs, and customer-use cases.
- Experience using CRM, business systems, reporting tools, pipeline management, forecast management, account planning, or structured follow-up processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work across sales, operations, customer service, and vendor partners.
- Ability to organize competing priorities across multiple locations, territories, customers, and Account Managers.
- Valid driver's license that meets company driving requirements.
- Experience in industrial gases, welding equipment and supplies, safety/PPE, specialty gases, bulk gases, medical gases, vending/VMI, technical products, manufacturing supply, construction supply, agriculture supply, rental equipment, or industrial distribution.
