Job Description

SUMMARY Assumes responsibility and accountability for customer retention, dealership profitability, and overall operational performance on behalf of the dealer. Utilizes sound business management practices to plan, coordinate, motivate, and lead the management team while ensuring all departments operate efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Forecast monthly and annual goals and objectives for sales, gross profit, and key expenses. Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of new vehicle sales employees. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle sales. Maintain dealership compliance with DJAG policies, procedures, and handbook requirements. Develop annual dealership operating plans and submit recommendations to ownership for approval. Conduct monthly asset meetings with the comptroller/office manager to review departmental forecasts and financial performance. Meet regularly with sales managers to establish monthly and annual objectives, review performance metrics, and assist the used vehicle department with appraisals. Provide accurate weekly financial performance reports to the Variable Operations Director. Establish and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions and manufacturer representatives. Communicate company policies and procedures effectively to all employees and ensure adherence. Provide strong leadership that promotes employee engagement, accountability, and morale. Conduct regular management meetings to ensure departmental efficiency and profitability. Evaluate and approve training requests aligned with dealership goals and monitor training effectiveness.
