Full Job Description Position Summary:
Join an award-winning hospitality company as the Director of Sales for Hotel Indigo Omaha , a full-service lifestyle hotel in the heart of downtown Omaha featuring distinctive accommodations, meeting and event space, and food & beverage offerings. As the DOS, you will lead the hotel's sales strategy and drive revenue across guest rooms, group business, meetings, events, and food & beverage , while increasing market share and building strong relationships throughout the Omaha business and hospitality community. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, relationship-driven sales leader who enjoys developing new business, creating memorable client experiences, and partnering with Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, and hotel operations to drive overall hotel performance.

What You'll Do:
Develop and execute the hotel's annual sales and marketing strategy. Drive revenue across corporate, group, meetings, events, government, association, SMERF, leisure, and local negotiated segments. Proactively identify and solicit new accounts through outside sales calls, prospecting, networking, referrals, trade shows, and community involvement. Develop and grow meeting, event, catering, and banquet business to maximize revenue from the hotel's meeting and event space. Partner closely with the Food & Beverage and Operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process through event execution. Build strategic partnerships with local corporations, businesses, universities, organizations, wedding and event planners, tourism partners, and community groups. Maintain an active sales pipeline and prospect database with measurable sales activity and follow-up. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual room, group, and catering revenue goals. Partner with Revenue Management and hotel leadership to evaluate demand, pricing, need dates, group opportunities, and overall market strategy. Monitor competitive hotels, market trends, and demand generators to identify new revenue opportunities. Conduct hotel tours, client presentations, site inspections, and pre-event meetings. Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, group agreements, negotiated rates, and event opportunities. Maintain relationships with existing key accounts while continually identifying opportunities to increase account production. Represent Hotel Indigo Omaha and GLMG Hotels at industry events, chamber meetings, networking functions, community events, and tourism organizations. Participate as an active member of the hotel's leadership team and collaborate across departments to achieve overall hotel revenue and profitability goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of hotel sales experience preferred. Previous Director of Sales, Senior Sales Manager, or hospitality sales leadership experience preferred. Full-service hotel, group, meeting, catering, or event sales experience strongly preferred. IHG experience is a plus. Strong understanding of hotel sales, group business, meeting and event sales, and revenue strategy. Proven ability to prospect and develop new business rather than relying solely on inbound leads. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with CRM and hotel sales systems such as Delphi, iVvy, SalesPro, CI/TY, or similar platforms preferred. Ability and willingness to attend networking and community events, including occasional evenings as business needs require. Why GLMG Hotels?
