Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here A growing and highly regarded hospitality group is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple high-volume bakery café locations throughout Queens and Long Island. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about hospitality, and knows how to build strong teams while driving operational excellence. The Area Manager will work closely with store leadership teams to maintain exceptional product quality, elevate the guest experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive sales and profitability across all locations. This role requires a strong operator who leads by example, communicates effectively, and is comfortable being in the shops daily to support teams and uphold standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple bakery café locations
- Ensure all locations maintain company standards for quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and operational execution
- Monitor KPIs, sales performance, labor, and profitability while supporting managers in achieving goals
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop management and hourly teams
- Conduct regular store visits, operational audits, and quality control checks
- Manage inventory levels and minimize waste through proper controls and oversight
- Foster a guest-focused culture and address customer feedback professionally and proactively
- Review Yelp, Google, and other guest feedback platforms to identify opportunities for improvement
- Partner with upper management on operational strategies, staffing needs, and business initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
- Conduct regular meetings with management teams to communicate updates and operational priorities
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of multi-unit management experience within hospitality, restaurant, café, bakery, or QSR environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on operator who enjoys coaching and developing teams in the field
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple locations simultaneously
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficient with Google Workspace including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive
- Must be able to travel regularly between Queens and Long Island locations
- Reliable transportation strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- $85,000-$90,000 base salary
