This role is ideal for a personable, motivated professional who enjoys building relationships, connecting families with services that meet their needs, and developing partnerships throughout the local community. The successful candidate will play a key role in representing the community, guiding prospective residents and families through the decision-making process, and developing strategies to support census growth. Position Summary The Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing marketing and outreach strategies designed to increase and maintain occupancy. This position will work closely with prospective residents and their families, referral partners, community organizations, and internal leadership. The role requires strong communication, organizational, sales, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities Develop short- and long-term marketing plans and establish goals to support occupancy growth. Monitor market trends, analyze data, and provide competitive market information. Conduct tours and meet with prospective residents, families, referral partners, and community representatives. Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, organizations, businesses, and other community partners. Follow up consistently with prospective residents and maintain an active sales pipeline and waiting list. Coordinate and participate in marketing and community outreach events. Develop marketing materials, presentations, and other promotional resources. Assist prospective residents and families with the admissions process, including financial arrangements and required documentation. Evaluate prospective residents to determine whether the community's services are an appropriate fit for their needs. Maintain accurate and complete records related to inquiries, admissions, discharges, and referral sources. Prepare regular reports regarding census, occupancy, lead sources, and other marketing metrics. Represent the community professionally at networking events, presentations, and other outreach opportunities. Work collaboratively with leadership and other departments to provide a positive experience for prospective residents and their families. Qualifications Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development, community relations, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of college preferred. Experience working with older adults, families, referral partners, or healthcare/community organizations is a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable speaking with individuals and groups and conducting professional tours and presentations. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities. Ability to analyze information, understand market trends, and identify opportunities for growth. Professional, personable, and service-oriented approach. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships throughout the surrounding community. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
