We're hiring a Sales Director to lead and elevate our established in-home sales team in Portland. This role is for a proven leader who sets a high standard, coaches in the field, and knows how to turn a talented group of reps into a consistently high-performing team. You'll take ownership of an existing Portland sales team and be responsible for its sales results, accountability, and continued development. You'll know the numbers, inspect the work behind them, and step in directly when a rep needs coaching or performance needs to improve. This is a hands-on leadership role. We're looking for someone who can take a strong foundation and make it better. What You'll Own Take full ownership of the Portland sales team's performance and results. Set clear performance standards and hold every rep accountable to them. Coach in the field through ride-alongs, role-plays, sales training, and direct feedback. Improve close rates, follow-up execution, appointment productivity, average ticket, and overall sales volume. Identify performance gaps early and create clear plans for improvement. Develop existing reps into stronger, more consistent closers. Recruit and onboard additional high-performing sales reps as the team grows. Lead consistent sales meetings and training focused on improving execution. Help the team confidently communicate the value of a premium product and customer experience. Review complex estimates before they reach Operations and resolve recurring handoff issues. Work closely with the General Manager and Operations team to ensure what is sold can be delivered successfully. Execute the sales strategy, goals, and standards established by the VP of Sales. Build the accountability, habits, and culture needed to make Portland one of our highest-performing sales teams. What You Bring A proven record of leading a sales team to strong, measurable results. Experience in in-home sales, home improvement, construction, or a similar high-ticket sales environment. The ability to coach a sales conversation—not just report on its outcome. Strong leadership skills and the ability to earn the respect of an established sales team. High standards, sound judgment, and the willingness to have difficult conversations. Strong command of sales metrics and the discipline to turn numbers into daily action. A competitive mindset with a strong focus on accountability and continuous improvement. A valid driver's license and the ability to work throughout the Portland market. What Success Looks Like You're not coming in to simply maintain the team. You're coming in to raise the standard. The right Sales Manager will improve rep performance, increase consistency, strengthen accountability, develop future leaders, and ultimately drive stronger sales results across the Portland market. If you've taken an existing sales team and made it significantly better, we want to hear how you did it. Apply with your résumé and a brief note covering the size of the team you led, the results you owned, and what improved under your leadership.
