Job Description
Position Summary The Sales Director is responsible for driving occupancy through proactive lead generation, relationship building, and exceptional customer service. This role oversees the entire sales process—from initial inquiry through move-in—while collaborating with community leadership to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for prospective residents and their families. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with excellent communication skills, a passion for serving seniors, and a proven ability to meet occupancy goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Sales & Occupancy Achieve and maintain occupancy goals established by company leadership. Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, prospect follow-up, tours, assessments, deposit collection, and move-in coordination. Conduct personalized community tours that highlight the community's services, amenities, lifestyle, and value. Maintain consistent communication with prospective residents and families using CRM and follow-up systems. Develop and execute monthly sales and marketing action plans to increase occupancy. Accurately track leads, sales activities, and occupancy metrics. Business Development Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, physicians, home health agencies, hospice providers, senior service organizations, and community partners. Represent the community at networking events, health fairs, chamber meetings, and community outreach opportunities. Identify new business opportunities and referral sources within the local market. Coordinate educational seminars, open houses, and special events to promote the community. Marketing Collaborate with the corporate marketing team on advertising, social media, and digital marketing initiatives. Ensure all marketing materials are current and accurately represent the community. Assist with reputation management by encouraging resident and family reviews and supporting community branding efforts. Customer Experience Provide compassionate guidance to prospective residents and families throughout the decision-making process. Coordinate move-in logistics with department leaders to ensure a smooth transition. Maintain ongoing relationships with new residents after move-in to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals. Collaboration Partner with the Executive Director and department leaders to ensure readiness for new residents. Participate in daily stand-up meetings, occupancy reviews, and leadership meetings. Support community events and resident engagement activities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of sales experience; senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or real estate sales preferred. Proven success in relationship-based sales and meeting performance goals. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for networking and outreach.
