We are looking for a hardworking and highly motivated individual who takes initiative, has strong interpersonal and communication skills, enjoys networking and creating long-lasting relationships, and is eager to learn and grow. The ideal candidate is also a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize responsibilities. You will be responsible for all facets of business development involving civil, structural, and environmental engineering projects, including client relations, leads, marketing, and proposals. About Us Horizon Engineering, LLC is led by three engineers with over 40 years of combined experience delivering successful infrastructure projects across the Gulf Coast region. We provide civil, structural, and environmental engineering services from conceptual planning through construction. Our mission is to design and build innovative, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure that improves our community and promotes a better future for all. Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in business development, sales, and/or marketing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in common office software is preferred, such as Microsoft 365/Office. Compensation and Benefits
  • Approximate base salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 plus commission. Compensation is negotiable and will be commensurate with expertise, experience, and qualifications.

  • Research potential project opportunities and track leads.
  • Establish and build relationships with clients, including federal agencies, state agencies, municipalities, and private entities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with contractors, engineers, architects, and other potential partners.
  • Develop short-term and long-term business development strategies to expand market presence and accelerate company growth.
  • Identify and attend conferences, networking events, and other industry events.
  • Prepare marketing materials.
  • Manage website and social media platform postings.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals.
Anticipated Start Date Fall 2026 Work Hours and Location Work hours and location will vary depending on the time, location, and travel requirements of client and partner meetings, conferences, networking events, and other industry events. A portion of your time will be spent in our Metairie, Louisiana office, which is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexible hours and hybrid work options are available.
