A Business Development Manager identifies new business opportunities and clients for a company, and develops marketing and sales strategies to help grow a company's business. Builds customer relationships and partnerships and negotiates business deals. Works with senior marketing and sales staff to increase sales opportunities.
Independent Contractor to develop Community Partnerships is responsible for expanding Real Champions, Inc.'s (RCI) network of business, civic, church, and community partners to increase financial sustainability and community engagement. Through strategic relationship development, this position cultivates new funding opportunities, recruits Business Champions, secures sponsorships, and identifies long-term partnerships that advance the mission of RCI. This position is expected to operate with a high degree of independence. The Community Partnership Manager is expected to proactively identify opportunities, build strategic relationships, and consistently advance RCI's mission through measurable community engagement and revenue generation.
Position Requirements:
Experience in business development, fundraising, nonprofit development, sales or relationship management preferred. Excellent communication and networking skills. Highly organized, self-motivated, and mission driven. Comfortable working independently with measurable goals. Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Willingness to attend occasional evening or weekend events. Successful completion of a background check is required.
Primary Duties:
• Develop and implement strategies to recruit new members into the RCI Business Champions Program. Build relationships with businesses, civic organizations, churches, elected officials, and community leaders. Represent RCI at networking events, community meetings, and outreach opportunities. Create partnerships that generate financial support, sponsorships, volunteers, or mission awareness. Generate revenue through the Business Champions Program, sponsorships, creative initiatives, and community partnerships. Identify local grant opportunities, corporate giving programs, and funding prospects for the Development Team. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects and strategic partnerships. Track all outreach, meetings, and follow-up in the organization's CRM system. Provide a weekly outcomes report to the Executive Director.
